Iād love to learn more about your oc, Carolynn. He looks really interesting. I'm curious about why he became a cannibal ā what pushed him toward that? (No hate, I'm just interested!)
Do you have any other interesting facts about him?
Heās not technically a cannibal, heās not really human. Heās based on the monster from carrion! This thing :D
As for why he eats people, his species is carnivorous and he was often subjected to harm by humans in his past, so he ate them. He doesnāt hate or eat all humans, he can have human friends.
Speaking of which, letās talk with his past for some fun facts!
Lynn was raised in captivity. Iām not 100% set on where exactly he came from, but he was found as an egg and kept in a laboratory for studying. I have some sketches!
Stage 1: An egg, about the size of a tennis ball. Kept underwater. Similar to amphibious or fish eggs,
Stage 2: Hatched after about six months. Still kept underwater. Has little control of body, sticks to surfaces like gum. No real function yet; is mostly observing the world to adapt to it. Doesnāt move.
Stage 3: Eyes and mouth are more pronounced. Begins practicing control of appendages and begins moving. Still sticks to surfaces.
Stage 4: begins forming āheadā, first sign of mimicry. Practicing logical abilities (puzzles, reading, counting, etc). More eyes.
Stage 5: Begins practicing mimicry much more (keeping eyes and mouth on āfaceā, having appendages as āarmsā, and using flesh to mimic hair). starts attempting communication, but cannot speak correctly yet. Its āspeakingā is just a garbled mess of sounds that canāt be deciphered.
Stage 6: ability to change color suddenly appears. Much more human, but lacks fingers and reproductive organs. Extremely uncanny. Speech is still garbled, but can be understood sometimes. Mostly just mimicry, similar to corvids; it understands what sounds produce certain results. āfeetā still stick to ground, but can walk mostly normal.
Stage 7: Speech is perfected. Begins acting creatively; drawing, writing, singing, etc. much more āhumanā. Given books on human anatomy and the English language to better understand it. Physical mimicry is almost perfected, but its āhairā is still visibly prehensile and has unusual color (for humans). Experiments on the subjects behavior begin.
