you may want to know my history, and that i will gladly provide. i originate from about 12-15k ya, so fairly young in the grand scheme of things. i was a low level eden angel for a short amount of time (NOT a cherubim⊠an assistantâŠ) before my first descent to earth. i fell in love with humanity in a way i never could my fellow angels⊠and so i cut the pact. that was 10k ya. since then, as my feathers slowly turned grey from dust, i have seen humanity blossom from a seedling nested between the euphrates and tigris to a domineering power today. i feel pride, love, bitterness, hate, but not a second of regret for my choice to stay with you. my wings are no longer white, and indeed, no longer grey, but rather dappled, a collection of my holiest sins and dirtiest prayers. stay awhile, then, and find that they are warm enough to sleep in.
