Antler cast was only a couple months ago but they’re already growing back!! SO COOOOOOOOL.

Jorts (neighbor cat I don’t know the name of so I refer to mentally for the icon) the other day ended up in the tree trying to hunt the scrub-jays. I was worried but it seems the jays were not fussed and practically teasing the kitty and he not too long later gave up.

Anyway, he’s very pretty even if a bit of a doofus.

I was so delighted to learn that this tree in our yard blossoms! The Seek app thought it was almond blossom but I haven’t confirmed that yet. Anyway, here’s some friends.

An update on lil nibs and his lil nibs! New zoom lens go zooooooooom!

I got a new camera lens! It’s cheap but ZOOOOOOM. Gonna try to take bird photos soon. Here’s an under exposed dark eyed junco. They’re probably our most common birds.

Here’s another regular visitor. This kitty is a bit of a scaredy doofus, but so pretty!! Kitty likes stalking the bird feeder but seems much too slow to cause any harm which is good, cause I was concerned.

Thinking about calling him Jorts. The black kitty would of course be Jean.

Allegedly the pass will reopen in a few hours. Here’s a snowy bird special. I need to figure out less backlit ways of dealing with this feeder.

It’s our first snow today!! Wow!

This is the second antler boi to visit! He’s a smaller and younger seeming one (less dark head and tarsal glands on back legs), fewer points on antlers. There was a doe (I think eyeliner goth one!) he briefly shared the yard with but then she was like ehhhh pass and scampered off. He tried following and came back a few minutes later, think he lost her. Hung out and munched all day. So happy to have them.

Still in awe of the size of this lad who came and visited. Lil Nibs, Sibs, and mama have been back a few times since, and I got bird feeders so there’s been birbs as well! Here’s bino iPhone shots.
