Bird Feeder Report:
I canβt save all the birds but I can feed my locals.
Todayβs guests at the feeder include:
- the ever-present mother squirrel who raids it daily,
- a male and female cardinal,
- three or four ground doves,
- a juvenile blue jay
- a tufted titmouse
The slab of suet on the front tree is not monitored by camera but does seem to be getting eaten, and Iβve seen several local mockingbirds in and out of that tree.
greenery is good for the soul. look at your clovers. look at your daisy poofs... look at you whatever those little yellow fellas are ( turns out they're yellow clover, and also a buttercup! i probably could have guessed that >.> ), look at your dried out swamp rose buds from last season the birds didn't polish off, look at those other green boys i dont know and also the splattering of coltsfoot, look at the swamp rose thorns and bittersweet nightshade. to be fair the nightshade aint doing much yet but it will in a few weeks. hit that with a big ol 'do not eat these berries' sign.
a back yard is a salad for the eyes, just make sure you know whats growing, especially before handling, or eating. pretty sure the coltsfoot and the nightshade would do ya in. and are both notoriously hard to remove, aggressive spreaders.

Hooligan baby squirrel just chewed the fuck out of our back patio hanging lights and dug up my front flowers and ate some of them. The lights are in pieces. Jfc I wish I could speak with his mother. We've had a symbiotic relationship with her for years.
Our backyard bunny loves the little sand patch Jpop made for it behind the swings
