Deer diary,

This is the second antler boi to visit! He’s a smaller and younger seeming one (less dark head and tarsal glands on back legs), fewer points on antlers. There was a doe (I think eyeliner goth one!) he briefly shared the yard with but then she was like ehhhh pass and scampered off. He tried following and came back a few minutes later, think he lost her. Hung out and munched all day. So happy to have them.

I am so amazed that this is my backyard! I hope we become increasingly chill around each other!

I’ve been away but my partner sent me a video of the deer visiting our house! I’m glad they have continued to claim us as their friends. Look at that tail tug! And skritch skritches! They’re amazing!

I got a new camera lens! It’s cheap but ZOOOOOOM. Gonna try to take bird photos soon. Here’s an under exposed dark eyed junco. They’re probably our most common birds.

Here’s another regular visitor. This kitty is a bit of a scaredy doofus, but so pretty!! Kitty likes stalking the bird feeder but seems much too slow to cause any harm which is good, cause I was concerned.

Thinking about calling him Jorts. The black kitty would of course be Jean.
