If it takes being delusional and telling yourself that everything, even the bad things, are working in your favorto keep your sanity, then honestly, be that type of "delusional". I rather be delusional about it then spiral because of it.
The burnt toast theory
Burnt toast theory is the idea that if you burn your toast before work and it adds five to 10 minutes to your trip, it's actually saving you from something catastrophic. Maybe saving you from a car accident.
You can be a good person and still say 'no'. You can be a friendly person and still say 'no'. Your mental well-being should always be a priority. You don’t have to agree to something that drains you and doesn’t make you feel good.
Learning how to set boundaries is so important. You can’t say 'yes' to everything. You can’t try to please everyone. Prioritize yourself and your happiness because you’re the most important person in your life. Don’t allow other people to force you to do certain things. Think for yourself and create a safe space for yourself. Make time for the things that bring you happiness. Take care of yourself, spoil yourself.

If people are condescending towards you for no reason it's because of their own lack and it says more about themselves than it does about you.
Talking others down and the need of wanting to be superior shows insecurity in oneself.
Pushing yourself is not bad but you have to master the art of balance.
You can push yourself without pushing yourself too much. You can step out of your comfort zone and feel proud of it afterwards. But if you take big steps instead of small steps, you will probably feel overwhelmed.
I'm mentioning it a lot but taking small steps is genuinely so important.
It's healthier for you and you most likely will find out that these results tend to be long term because you have built it up slowly. You have a strong foundation that holds everything up, whereas taking it too far and too fast will show short term success but then it all falls apart.

Honor the journey. You won't be super confident in the matter of days. It could happen, who knows but it's unlikely. Every little improvement will lead you down to that path though. And sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone is part of that journey. Don't overwhelm yourself but give yourself opportunities to grow as a person.
Be careful who you surround yourself with. If you're with people who constantly talk you down, even as a joke, it will affect your confidence at some point. They might not do it out of spite and they might do it to cope with their own insecurities but that doesn't change that it will inevitably affect your self esteem. As I mentioned, brains do not actually understand jokes and if talking you down as a joke is their thing and it happens repeatedly, you will start to believe them. Keep your space sacred. It's better to have a few friends who genuinely care about you, than to have many friends who secretly use you as a punching bag to feel better about themselves.
This one thing that you wanna do and that you feel like would fulfill your life but you don't do it because you don't feel good enough for it...
Trust me, do it. You will not regret it. The only thing you will regret is not having it done earlier. The only thing standing in your way is yourself and maybe the worries of what other people might think but this is your life and you wake up in your own body every day and have to feel good inside your own skin. YOU are the person who is living YOUR life, not anyone else.
Everyone is too concerned with things that barely affect them. This affects you and your life.
As long as it doesn't harm anyone, do what you want to do.
It's none of their business.
Self deprecating jokes
What you say to yourself matters.
But what you say about yourself to others matters as well. Did you know that your brain is not familiar with jokes? Our brains don't know when words are meant to be taken seriously and when not. That means if we continuously joke about the same thing, we start to believe it.
A funny example is if you joke about a kink too often, you can actually trick yourself into developing that kink you are joking about.
But on a serious note, it also affects you and the way you think about yourself! Making self deprecating jokes will worsen your confidence.
So be wise about the jokes you make!
Your thoughts and feelings matter so don't let your voice be silenced.
Communicate what matters to you.
You are not selfish for establishing boundaries. Don't let anyone disrespect you.
They think the way you let them treat you determines your value and if you don't speak up, they will keep crossing your boundaries.

Writing down a list with things you are grateful for can be effective to see the grand scheme of things and not only see the negative. So, instead of thinking about what went wrong, try to think about the things that went right!
