im asking this here because i dont really have anyone to go to specifically, since most of my buddies are homophobic, transphobic, or just in general uneducated and clueless about what im going to talk about.
i wouldve asked an online friend, but most of them are friends that are mutual with my girlfriend.
this is in no way a BAD thing, i just need advice
so, recently ive discovered that i might be bisexual. well, im DEFINITELY bisexual. i dont think i ever really realized because i generally only like girls and non-men. i might be berrisexual or something but regardless, i have a STRONG preference for non men over men, and i honestly dont see myself in a relationship with a guy in the future anyway.
i know i NEED to tell my girlfriend this, but i dont know HOW. i love her from the bottom of my heart, and this won't change our relationship at ALL. im just worried she might think id leave her for a man or something. hell, im not even worried about that, i just need to find a way to tell her, since im blanking.
if anyone has any advice lmk, im struggling over here

Below is a list of INTERSEX EXCLUSIVE terminology. It doesn’t matter what gender descriptors or other labels you use, if you are not intersex, you cannot and should not use these terms. I’m looking at you, perisex trans people.
- Hermaphrodite: A slur used to describe intersex people, derived from a greek myth in which a boy and the woman who sexually assaulted him are fused into a single being with two sexes. Literally meaning “has both male and female sexual organs”, this word perpetuates the false belief that intersex = has two fully functioning sets of reproductive organs. It is a slur, even when used in zoological contexts. The only reason the h-slur is used to describe gonosimulistic animals is because of racist, intersexist scientists comparing these animals to intersex people, for which the word was created to describe. Do not use this word if you are not intersex, even to describe animals.
- Trans intersex: A combination term used to describe people who are both transgender and intersex. This term is not for perisex (non-intersex) people “transitioning to intersex”. You cannot transition to be intersex. The word “intersex” refers to congenital (ie, from birth) variations in sex traits that are either noticeable upon birth or present spontaneously later in life (usually puberty). It doesn’t matter if you’re on hormones, have had gender reassignment surgery, or any other physical alteration to your body - if you are not born intersex, you are not intersex. Terms for transitioning to have mixed/multiple sex traits (not intersex) include altersex, varsex, bigenital, bisex, multisex, ambisex, ambiadic, et cetera. Do not call yourself trans intersex unless you are both transgender and intersex.
- Intergender: A term for intersex people whose gender is influenced by, unique to, or otherwise impacted by their intersex variation. It does NOT mean “a gender that is between/a mix of/fluid between male and female”. Terms to describe those genders include genderfluid, bigender, androgyne, femache, boygirl, midgender, et cetera. It is not possible to be intergender unless you are intersex.
- VAMAB/VAFAB: Acronyms that stand for “violently assigned male/female at birth”. These terms describe intersex people with visible sex variations that were “corrected” through surgery against their will upon birth, in order to make them conform to perisex standards of typical male or female sex presentation. Synonyms include: SAFAB/SAMAB (surgically assigned female/male at birth), and FAFAB/FAMAB (forcibly assigned female/male at birth). These terms are not to be used by perisex trans people, they are exclusive to intersex people who suffered IGM (intersex genital mutilation) as infants. Using these terms as a perisex person actively takes away their significance for intersex people describing the traumatic experiences they’ve endured due to medical intersexism. Just call yourself AFAB/AMAB. Better yet, use the terms TMDP/TWDP, since AFAB/AMAB imply nothing about your body and should not be used as shorthands for “biological female” or “biological male”.
- Shi/hir pronouns: A set of pronouns created by intersex fetishists to refer to “herm” (bigenital) characters. These pronouns are rooted in the intersexist belief that intersex = bigenital, and that hermaphrodite is an appropriate term to use to describe bigenital characters. Some intersex people have reclaimed these pronouns and use them for themselves. You absolutely should not be using these pronouns unless you are intersex, and you should definitely not use them to refer to someone unless they have specifically stated that they use that set of pronouns.
Intersex people, feel free to add any other terms you feel should be included on this list. Perisex people, please take this info seriously and correct other perisex people you see using these terms.
Discussion Shorthand TSDP, TMDP, TWDP - Stop using AGAB to refer to people's bodies.
TSDP - Typical Sex Development Pathway - referrs to perisex people's sex traits.
Altered-TSDP or A-TSDP- referring to perisex people who have altered their sex traits, such as via medical transition. To be used when relevant.
I dislike using the words male and female to refer to sex traits because it misgenders trans people with those sex traits. And I also just don't believe in "biological sexes" to begin with.
TMDP (Typical Mullarian Developmental Pathway)- referring to typical/perisex development of characteristics such as breasts, vulva, uterus, ovaries, etc.
Examples of people with TMDP
(perisex) cis women
(perisex) trans men
some (perisex) nonbinary people.
TWDP (Typical Wolffian Developmental Pathway)- referring to typical/perisex development of characteristics such as facial hair, penis, scrotum, testicles, prostate, etc.
Examples of people with TWDP
(perisex) cis men
(perisex) trans women
some (perisex) nonbinary people.
What if someone has/had neither TWDP or TMDP traits? They are intersex.
This exists for the purpose of talking about anatomy/medical needs as well as for the purpose of explaining how intersex variations differ from perisex sex traits without using the words male/female, as just using those terms further reinforces the coupling of gender and sex traits. I believe all sex traits should be completely decoupled from gender.

The ones that don't experience medical violence then, likely experience it as a teenager.
I didn't.
I am very rare in that I did not experience medical violence.
Why? Because I learned what intersexuality was as a young age, and I actively fought against what doctors wanted to do to me. All the way down to legal research on what medical care minors can be forced into. I remember walking into that doctor's appointment with the state law written down that proved that if I did not consent they could not do surgery.
That is why intersex activism is important. It saved me and it will save more.

so Ive been inSANELY busy for the last few months, with theatre and church and literally everything ever, and ive been trying really fucking hard to try and keep me and my best friends relationship afloat, because we dont fare well if we dont talk much
and today, i literally was working for 14 hours straight, i went from school to musical to a two hour church service and im just now getting time to breathe and go to sleep, and i open discord to text my best friend because yk thats what i do
and evidently it blocked me.
no explanation, no message, literally nothing
and I didnt realize this until my girlfriend texted me asking if i got blocked too, since evidently she was blocked.
so flash forward to about 10 minutes ago, my gf gets sent a freq from my friend, and she's confused, so she texts it
evidently i havent been paying them enough attention and ive been 'hurting them more than i realize' by prioritizing my GIRLFRIEND over it.
lets keep in mind, last time it had a boyfriend, i barely ever heard from them, because if their supposed 'hierarchy of relationships', which prioritizes romantic partners over best friends
i don't mind that hierarchy, but it's a little fucking hypocritical when i get told i cant prioritize my girlfriend over my best friend.
also, telling me through my girlfriend is literally a shit move. thats like, the platonic equivalent of breaking up with your partner via text. like ???
