I just remembered this awful comic that passed me off so much, the main character was someone who loved sex and was really kinky but was also aromantic. A girl who has a crush on her realizes this and offers to have sex with her. MC was like "no, I'm not interested in romantic relationships and I don't want to lead you on" the other girl told her it's fine it can be no strings attached, no dating or romance. MC was hesitant but agreed with these conditions. Then the other girl keeps pushing her boundaries and was secretly trying to get her to date her. So the MC was like "I think we should stop, like I said I don't want a relationship and I don't want to hurt you" and the other girl again said she was fine with no strings attached. And the series treats the MC like the bad guy for not wanting to date her several times when she said so clearly and kept trying to end it so the other girl wouldn't get hurt. And then another aromantic girl arrives and was like "MC I actually don't want a romantic relationship either so let's just go out and have sex, it would be perfect for both of us. No feelings involved" and somehow she's the villain??? And the series ends with the MC dating the original girl because she finally says yes after saying no over and over again and this is somehow the happy ending????? Fuck it pissed me off so much, what's the lesson here? It's okay to violate aro peoples boundaries? Keep trying they'll say yes eventually? It doesn't matter how clearly you express your boundaries, being aro is cruel and evil?

This is such a "common sense" way of putting it. Everybody memorize this for spitting it back out whenever needed.

Never thought I'd have the opportunity to say this again: Reducing women and girls to their vaginas and then forcing them to show those vaginas to strangers is not a feminist ideal.
