like yes robby has misogynistic tendencies and people don't understand that the show is VERY aware of this and it WILL probably be addressed at some point (Al-Hashimi will see to that i'm sure, pull through queen).

but the way he treats mohan is so obviously because he resents her. he resent her because not only does she remind him of himself, she's everything he feels like he can't be. she has a panic attack and people rush to her aid. she's able to grow deep bonds with patients and does exactly what his boss keeps harassing him to do. also very importantly, robby resents her for her issues existing outside of the ER.

the whole reason he feels justified in acting the way he does is because he's not bringing his outside trauma to work; work IS his trauma. he feels like other people can ignore their issues while they're at work, and he feels like it's unfair that the ED is the source of all of his because then he isn't allowed to ignore it. he projects this feeling onto samira because he already feels like she's everything that he isn't and he doesn't understand her.

of all the characters, those two are the only ones who have pulled people aside to tell them not to bring their baggage to work, and soon after done exactly that. ignoring all sources of your stress and pain is not healthy and they're both learning what it feels like for that to pop. robby just resents samira because he feels like she's allowed to deal with it in ways that he can't, and because he's been in the trenches for so long.

and yes this would probably present differently if samira was a dude, but it isn't exclusively because she's a woman either. it can play a role in how robby speaks to her, but he's going to resent dr mohan regardless of her gender
