Learning about the history of art and design in the 20th century is amazing, because you'll constantly hear about 50 year feuds where designer A calls designer B a fascist because he designed an ugly, uncomfortable chair made entirely out of aluminum, and designer B calls designer A (whose day job is designing chairs that look pretty much exactly the same) a nihilist degenerate because he was quoted saying something like "the most important thing about a radio, is that it sounds good."
Like, yeah, there are tons of actual examples of literal fascist groups condemning works of art that have now been printed on a billion posters and mugs and keychains as degenerate cultural bolshevism that's going to end civilization, but there's also a billion instances of a designer being told they're a barbaric madman weaving cultural atrocities on par with Dresden because their proposal for a rebranding of the Copenhagen metro used multiple fonts, two of which have serifs.
