Offhand Dragon Age Fact #1: There is a canonical sign language in Thedas. It was developed by the Silent Sisters. We know not what this language is referred to as, only that it’s basically ASL. Utha, a side character in The Calling (and appears again in the Awakening DLC) communicates through these signs. Her Grey Warden friends have learned it and understand her, too.
