I felt the urge to draw them in comparison and fell in love how it turned out. It's been laying around in my WIP folder for quite some time now, and I almost forgot about it. How dare I?

It's been such a long time since I did a traditional drawing! And what is better than going back to the tradtional medium with our beloved ineffable husbands?

I used Ohuhu Alcohol markers, brushtip ink pens and my trusty polychromo markers for this piece. Also i dug out the silver and gold ink for some details like the halo, the jewelry and Crowley's eyes.

Also, I created this piece for a very special occasion and a very special person :)

So I will take that movie. And I hope and know you guys will continue to be supportive of GO, so the people who love this project and worked hard to make sure we get something will see we are still supportive, relieved and happy to see our fave demon and angel get a conclusion. NG had be removed from project, rightfully so, and that has happened. Good.

Some positive things I've kept in mind when worrying about a potential movie:

Hey, less editing means we will maybe get it sooner than expected!

Perhaps better effects now when budget goes to less screentime (I do lowkey love the bad CGI, but consider - more time for wings!)

Kill your darling is the toughest but often the greatest advice. While I did love s2, there are many scenes I could easily do without. Less time means they have to keep it plot-focused and on the pair.

Think of how many great movies that are out there. A lot can be achieved in 90 minutes.

We are not left on that horrible cliffhanger 🙏

(Fanfic writers can do a lot with those 90 minutes)

I think it's important to know that Rhianna Pratchett reposted this. I totally understand being disappointed, but there were people behind the scenes fighting for those 90 minutes instead of nothing. And I trust in the team that will be in charge of those 90 minutes.

I need people to understand we are lucky to even get this movie.

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the official Footnotes server! I remember being so anxious about attempting to start a Discord server for my fic - would people be nice, would there be drama, would people care, would people even join?

I expected maybe a handful of readers and I would be grateful for every one of them.

And now, a year later, we are almost 150 people in there, and I cannot imagine not having this amazing community full of kind, supportive, funny talented people! People who comfort each other, who hang out, who praise each other, who inspire each other! All the lovely movie nights and voice chats! The chaos after dropping a chapter, and the speculation - Oh the speculation! Writing a mystery fic, I always hoped readers would have fun finding and playing with clues. I am forever amazed seeing how clever and observant my readers are when they share their thoughts in the Spec Hub - which has *28K messages alone* in that channel!

The fact we have a channel dedicated to resources - timelines, summaries of theories, conspiracy board!

That we have a fanart *archive* because we ran out of pins in the main fanart channel!

But most importantly - that I wake up always having someone to talk to. It's been a tough year personally, and according to my parents, this server has saved me. This place has given me friends, a sense of purpose, so many souls willing to listen and be supportive! The fact that I see people in the server becoming friends with each other is so so heartwarming. The fact that some have met in real life - and that more are planning to do so!

The internet can be a rotten place most of the time, but the Footnotes server is such a light in the dark, and I am so grateful for all of you.

Man, this post is just pure gushing, but I still cannot believe I am lucky enough to have all of this.

Okay. So.

I'm not fully sure if you're talking about Footnotes, but honestly, that does not matter.

This is not how you treat your fanfiction writers.

Fanfiction is a labor of love. It's people using more hours than you can believe on something they care for, for free, because they want to share their love for these characters and this story. Writing stories is so, so, so hard, and fanfiction is this wonderful concept where people share their creativity, their love, their talent, their products.

And you as a reader have access to all of this.

That means you don't get to complain. That means you, receiving all of this, should, at the very least, be supportive of the works you enjoy.

And hey, I get it - waiting for a fave fic to update can be hard. But that is how it is because the authors writing these stories are real people with real lives using their spare time to write stories to share with fellow fans. You don't know what is happening in their lives, and you are not entitled to know.

And here's the thing - WIPs need support. You don't just magically have a finished story. It takes time. And the support you receive throughout that time can be fundamental.

And sometimes updates take time. A long time.

And sometimes fics get abandoned.

That is how it is. Because you are not entitled to anything else. Because authors are real people and sometimes, interests change, or life gets in the way, or maybe the author simply doesn't want to write.

And you don't get to complain about that.

Don't want to risk the wait? Don't start reading an unfinished fic. But still, I encourage that you do read them - because unfinished works need support, need cheering, need to receive love in turn.

Because they are products of love. Treat them as such. Be grateful.

I have shared reasons for why I haven't posted a new chapter in a while. I did not have to share these reasons. You are not entitled to know.

Treat fanfic with kindness. Treat fanfic authors with kindness.

So about the blue cup of coffee. I think it is symbolically the opposite of the Apple of Eden. Adam and Eve were innocent, having tasted the apple, they knew the earthly and had to go to Earth. Aziraphale, on the contrary, has lived on Earth for a long time and Metatron gives him (tempts) a "heavenly" drink. Some sources indicate that ambrosia (the drink of paradise or the drink of the gods) was nine times sweeter than honey. This genuinely altered my brain chemistry, I don't understand how it hasn't blown up. Do you understand???? This has literally given context to the "I forgive you"s that I have not stopped thinking about since I read it.

I know this isn't how Crowley hears it, but I think more than anything, it's along the lines of "I forgive you for not trusting me in this" or "I forgive you for abandoning me in this when I told you I need you, for rejecting what might be our only real chance of being together in a way where we can be safe and happy" or even (depending on what theory you believe) "I forgive you for not understanding what I'm trying to tell you, for not listening to me and reading between the lines like we have ALWAYS done with each other."

Despite the anger and frustration and hurt behind it, there's something really beautiful about the implication behind Aziraphale's "I forgive you" (and all the ones he's said before): it seems to imply "You're doing this thing that hurts and upsets and frustrates me, but there is nothing that you can do that I will not forgive you for. You do not need to follow me blindly to earn my love or my forgiveness, even if I am so, so angry with you right now. You are not unloved and unforgiveable, you will never be unloved and unforgiveable, not to me. I will never cast you out for doing something I don't agree with."

I thought it was quite obvious after S1 that ‘I forgive you’ was a faith statement and reassurance from aziraphale. So that deep down, Crowley would know even if he absolutely didn’t believe in aziraphale about something, aziraphale would always still forgive him and still welcome him back.

I'm really baffled why so many people go around these words and seek some meaning that is different form the most literal one.

Each time Aziraphale says "I forgive you" is after Crowley did or said something hurtful.

Each time is as simple as that. You hurt me, you did something I don't like, but I forgive you. This does not end our relationship.
