I want to grow my hair out, but my school says I can't because according to the books I'm a guy, and guys have to have really short hair (max 5 inches on top, sides tapered to 3/4 inches, as per United States Navy regulations). The only way I can think of to get the school to let me grow it any further than that is if I tell one of my teachers that I'm actually trans and should follow the girl's regulations, but then I might be issued a girl's uniform and have to wear that.

I honestly don't know what to do. Can I get some help?
