So I got curious about the different color phobias since I was writing an OC who'd be afraid of the color red, and it just went down the rabbit hole and I ended up searching for the other colors as well. Not sure if this is all of the colors, but this is what I ended up with.

So I hope this helps you guys if you yourself ever got curious or if you also wanted to give a color phobia to a character of yours or to a canon character from whichever fandom you're writing for.

Here are the different color phobias:

Erythrophobia, fear of the color red.

Chrysophobia, fear of the color orange or gold.

Cyanophobia, fear of the color blue.

Kastanophobia, fear of the color brown.

Leukophobia, fear of the color white.

Prasinophobia, fear of the color green.

Rhodophobia, fear of the color pink.

Porphyrophobia, fear of the color purple.

Melanophobia, fear of the color black.

Xanthophobia, fear of the color yellow.

So I was wondering whether this Minlout fanfic should be with dragons or without dragons. What I mean is, should Hookfang be with Snotlout in an AU where everyone has dragons, or should this setting be where the original movie plot is in effect and due to the Dragon Wars, Snotlout leaves to become a mercenary somewhere else?

Hello, fellow Furians/Dragon Riders! So the recent post I made concerning a headcanon about Snotlout being color blind inspired me to look at this further and more deeply. 

Actually, this article came unexpectedly, to be honest. I was just thinking randomly about Snotlout in general, and then I was snipping shots for Heathlegs, and then this happened:

I’ve watched this episode and scene multiple times as I watched the series time and time again, and it made me curious, but stored that curious scene away in favor of enjoying the series and never really thought about it again. But now that I’m coming back with a fresh mindset, this got me thinking:

Did DreamWorks just imply/hint that Snotlout is color blind?

I mean, a lot of things would make sense if he is. You would have to squint for the clues, but they’re there if you know where to look.

For instance, in the Defenders of Berk episode “Free Scauldy”, when Astrid fake flirts with Snotlout in order to get him to stop hitting on her (which, I’ll be honest, was one of my most favorite scenes in the show BY FAR! XD), she says this:

So this scene was taken from the RoB episode “Alvin and the Outcasts”. And I was inspired from my “Minlout Name Meanings” article and I decided to make this. I hope you like this. I really enjoyed making it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t rip Astrid out, and I couldn’t turn Minden into a png so that it would look like she was part of the scene. But oh well. I’m quite proud with how this turned out.

Up until around 2016 or so, the like to reblog ratio was the total opposite of how it is now. And it applied on posts with fewer notes and posts with a large amount of notes:

It doesn’t take rocket science to figure out that the posts with more reblogs have an astoundingly higher amount of notes because of increased exposure. Reblogging allows more people to see the content, that’s more people to either continue reblogging or at least give a like. For artists in particular who would benefit from the exposure in terms of commissions and patreon and all of that, this is a huge deal. It can make all the difference. 

Tumblr as a blogging platform was created with the intent to post and share content. It’s not meant to be a consume-only form of social media like Instagram. For fandom blogs in particular, it always boggles me that people don’t share content that they like. Tumblr was appealing for fandom in the first place because of the ability to plaster your blog with amazing things that other people made - this used to be unheard of. For me, it’s like saving something precious so you can always come back to it again. It’s giving the people who follow me something awesome to look at too. Creating and sharing content is the heart of fandom.

People rely primarily on their dash for content. Most people avoid going into tags/searches because of wanky fandom drama. So reblogs are crucial for exposure! Likes are a nice gesture, but they do nothing to help share and promote content. That’s why content creators are frustrated or moving to other platforms, or why they stop making content altogether. Tumblr has its issues, but it’s still one of the best places for exposure due to its reblog function and overall post formatting. It’s discouraging seeing content creators on Tumblr as a concept die off. This site is nothing without them.

We can enjoy making things as much as possible but when we share it and no one cares enough to show it to others, it does make us wonder why we bothered in the first place. And this isn’t a new complaint from content creators. But it has worsened over time as the likes started dominating the reblogs. 

It’s not that we don’t appreciate likes at all, notes are notes. But reblogs equal more notes, which equals more exposure, which equals happy content creators, which equals more content for fandom to consume. It’s a wholly positive chain of events that circles back around. Your reblog could be a deciding factor on whether that content creator chooses to keep contributing or to give up entirely.

When somebody reblogs some art you made or a funny textpost, you feel seen, in a way, as opposed to getting likes. Likes are nice but they don’t really tell you anything besides ‘nice post, op 👍🏼’. But reblogs, feel better and more personal, because to me they scream ‘Hey!! Look at this snazzy post that I enjoyed!!’ And they can really cause you to grow through the exposure, especially when a blog you follow or know is big reblogs it and when they say something encouraging or funny in the tags of the reblog (because I’m the type of person that looks at every reblog).

It’s a real game now! The manufacturer sent us 5 copies! The quality is amazing! Thank you all for making this game a reality! The games are currently being shipped from Poland to a fulfillment center in the US and the Czech Republic. If you preordered the game, you can expect to have it in your hands at the end of April (so far, the pandemic has not been impeding our schedule).

Adrien walked into class that morning with a yawn, glad to be at school but wishing he could’ve slept just a little longer. He was exhausted.

Despite that, he looked forward to seeing Marinette, and that seemed to brighten his mood. Her radiance and light were like a beacon to him, and he always managed to get drawn in. Even on days when she was just as tired from fighting akumas as he was, she found a way to make him smile without fail.

Adrien’s eyes kept drifting towards the door as he anticipated her arrival. He was thinking about her while Nino was trying to talk to him, completely distracted.

“Waiting for someone, Adrien?” Alya chuckled, and he snapped out of his train of thought. Nino was looking at him with the same look, one that said, “You’re hopeless.”

“Maybe,” he replied, looking back to the door.

“Did she tell you she was gonna wear an outfit today that she made completely by herself?” Alya asked, leaning on her desk excitedly. Adrien looked up at her.
