a pervasive aggression against trans people that meant the UK's broadcasting regulator Ofcom allowed TalkTV to publish "a torrent of misinformation and transphobic hate."

Fight against the oppression that has led to Trans Exile Network, TACC, Compton's Cafe and Transpilot issuing a global travel advisory to the LGBTQIA+ community, warning against travel to the UK.

Speak out against hate that has allowed the state to implement a tell before you kiss law allowing people to retroactively accuse trans people of rape for "deception as to sex" resulting in a girl being wrongly convicted and imprisoned for 2 years for sexual assault.

Call for action against a country and government that has restricted healthcare discriminatingly against trans folks forcing us to be on waitlists of up to 224 years.

a Government that has completely removed access to healthcare for trans children under 16 and is now considering increasing that to the age of 18.

A government that calls for doctors to not only refuse healthcare to children but also report their families to safeguarding if they support their kids, and suggest the removal of shared healthcare options for all Trans folks.

A government that is banning discussion and acknowledgement of us in schools², and encourages schools to segregate trans children³ in line with the segregation we will experience due to the EHRC guidance coming into force in 5 days (9th of July 2026)

This is all the last 2 years... a decades long meteoric rise of hate and vitriol spewed at trans folks culminating in 2 years of legislation and stripping of rights dragging us from one of the best places in the world to be trans right down to the bottom of the countries in Europe.

2 years of hate from funding by right wing billionaires to scapegoat trans folks and immigrants and placate the people, they are doing it because we are quiet, because we are accepting their lies, lies that we are powerless to stop them, lies that they need the money and labour that they suck from us like a scavenger sucking marrow from bones. They will only stop if we make them know that we will not give up and die, we will not accept their lies, we will fight them tooth and nail, we will keep fighting and never abandon any of our siblings, we will not accept the transphobia they push to eradicate us, we will not accept the xenophobia they preach to kill migrants, we will not accept the racism embedded in their words to slaughter black people, we will not accept the blinkers they give us to hide the disabled, we will not accept it. We will fight it. and we WILL win.

And that victory, our victory, will be won by either our hands and words, or their (metaphorical) blood. It is time for them to choose which it will be.

Harrow the Ninth:

Do we think Gideon and Harrow will ever say 'I love you' to eachother in Alecto the Ninth? Or that wishful thinking?

I wonder if either of them have ever even said it to a living person before? (Not counting Nona-in-Harrow)..

I'm pretty sure Gideon has said 'I love you' to her mother's skeleton, but a skeleton isn't alive nor can it say it back. I can't see her saying it to Aiglemene.. so, I think it's safe to say she's never said it someone nor has anyone ever said it to her.

Theres probably a chance Harrow had said it to her parents at one point before they died, but we don't know for sure. I think she indirectly says it to the body/Alecto at the end of Nona, but that's the only time I remember her ever cannonically saying that to anyone in the books (correct me if I'm wrong tho)!

Do we think that will be something they'd ever admit and/or say to eachother? There's undoubtedly some kind of love in between them, whether it's platonic, familial, romantic, or some secret thing somewhere in between. The theme of the books is all the different kinds of love, so maybe it could be a pretty plausible thing to happen in the next book!

I can see it happening in a tragically climatic scene.. like somewhere in Canaan House, it's night and it's raining and its a little while after their initial reunion. At last they're able to get away from Ianthe and Jod and are finally alone and can talk about everything and things are awkward and kinda rocky between them still. Gideon/Kiriona is hurt/pissed tf off at Harrow for the lobotomy and isn't giving her a chance to explain herself as to why she did it, which at first Harrow is trying to be soft and explain it to her, but Gideon/Kiriona isn't hearing reason or letting her speak, so Harrow gets pissed off and starts screaming back about how Gideon left her and how awful it's been without her. Inevitably, they end up physically fighting and throwing punches to resolve their differences, like they're used to always doing. Gideon/Kiriona gets Harrow on her back (cause Harrows smaller and weaker and also kind of hesitant to use necromancy on her God's literal daughter) and starts beating and choking the fuck out of her (like in that one scene), and right before Harrow passes out and/or dies by Gideons hand, she chokes out, "I did it because I love you" or "I did it because I'm in love with you".. or she just says "I love you" which in turn hella catches Gideon off guard and causes her to let go because (we all know low-key) deep deep down, that's all Gideon's ever really wanted and it's the first time anyone has ever said that to her. So, she cries, Harrow cries, they apologize, express their love for eachother, recite the cav/necro vows, kiss and make out ugly style, and then..

..and then they fuck about it! 😍😃🤩

Okay, okay, obviously that very last part is HELLA wishful thinking and more than likely not ever going to happen, but the rest of that could be a plausible event, right?? Right??

No??

If none of that is going to be in the book, or if I don't hear both Gideon and Harrow getting told that they're unconditionally loved by either eachother or by literally anyone, then I will be flinging myself off a very very tall building and impaling myself on a fence ☺️
