(I woke up and wrote this in my head while starring at the wall, and immediately was like “shit, shit write that down” and now I’m making a fanfic—fyi, my outline has the ouran high school host club intro immediately after this)
Background info:
–Hades has an affair in his Roman form(Pluto), Hazael being born from it. Persephone eventually finds out, deciding to kill Hazel inadvertently, and confronts Hades. They argue, and have a ‘break’. Hades is depressed, well, as much as a god can be, and decides to leave for the mortal world, however when going to transform into a mortal form, struck by the grief of losing his daughter, he decides to change into a female form in order to prevent fathering a child.
–His appearance is that of a young woman, with wavy black hair just past her shoulders, and dark eyes. He's wearing a black maxi skirt with a black button-up, a red corset vest, and dark metal jewelry.
Exiting the underworld into LA, she/he decides to go into a bar, needing a bit of an escape, and order a drink–a Shirley Temple.
Soon, an annoying guy approaches her and continuously tries to hit on her, with Hades (Helena) repeatedly turning him down, giving him a dead-eyed glare.
Soon after, Percy(Perseus–Greek/Japanese god of the abyss and a kitsune), in his mortal form, walks into the bar. He's wearing black baggy pants, a teal button-up, and platinum jewelry. Spotting the harassment, he immediately goes over to try to diffuse the situation. “Dude, she already told you to back off,” he states and glares at the guy, then argues a bit before the guy walks off.
“Sorry about that,” he turns to her. “Are you okay?”
“I'm fine, thank you.”
“No problem,” he says as he sits at the stool next to her and smiles, “nice to meet you, I'm Percy.”
“Helena,” she smiles
"Well, Helena, what brings you here this fine night?” he says with a bit of sass in his voice.
“Just trying to get an escape…work… has been hectic lately,” she says with a distant gaze
Percy smiles slightly, “Same here, well, sort of. I need a break from my family.” he starts with a smile, “I love them, but I genuinely think they're going to drive me insane.”
“Siblings?” She asks
“Yeah,” he agrees, “3 younger, what about you?”
“I have 3 older, and 2 younger.”
“Yikes, well, at least you don't automatically have babysitting duty?” he awkwardly laughs
“Nope,.. that was reserved for my sisters.” She continues. “We didn't meet the youngest of us until we were older, so my brother and I were the babies of the family, although we all helped around.”
“And your parents?” he asks with a worried expression
“Our father was not the best man, and our mother wasn't there,” she said with a somber expression. “We left him when we were older, and met our youngest brother.”
“You don't have to tell me all this,” he says honestly.
“I know, but you seem trustworthy,” she says bluntly.
Percy stares a bit before stating, “I'm curious, in your opinion, what makes someone more trustworthy, knowing that they're honest, and having no secrets between the two of you. Or someone whom you know that you can tell something to, and they won't share it, no matter what.”
Hades blinks in surprise, “A bit of both, I guess.” he pauses before honestly stating, “While I used to think the second, I recently had a fight with someone for not telling them something, and in retaliation, they hurt something I care about, so I don't really know anymore.”
“I'm sorry,” Percy says with a frown before continuing, “you can tell a lot of a person by what they value, ya know,” he says with a bit of pep
“Yeah?” she says with a smirk, “What are you, a fortune teller?”
“Sure am,” he says in a sarcastic and humorous way. “If you would like, I can do a reading.”
“Sure, go ahead,” she says, in disbelief
He grabs her palm, rubbing it lightly, humming for a while, until he states, “Your favorite fruit… is cherry.”
“What?” she bursts out, giggling, “I mean, you're right, but how did you even guess that?”
“I saw you were drinking a Surly Temple and guessed,” he giggled, he continued “I can do an actual one if you want,”
“No, no its fine,” she said lightheartedly
They both started laughing, turning to stare at each other fondly.
