My least favorite types of posts are interaction baits that capitalize on peoples fears.

When numbers kill: The science of tetraphobia.
Tetraphobia is the superstitious fear of the word or number four. That fear is manifested in many Asian countries, such as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore & South Korea. South Korea even uses four for floors in modern buildings; instead, they use the "F" floor. This is because in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, & Japanese, the word "four" is pronounced almost the same as the word for "death." To everyday Asians, it feels like saying "four" is accidentally saying "death," so the number becomes taboo.
It's not because people think the fourth floor is dangerous; it's because tenants refuse to rent or buy units labelled "4." In Chinese communities, houses with addresses ending in 4 are sold at a 2.2% discount. So developers label it F, 3A, or skip it entirely. Scientists have confirmed the superstition is false. Mortality data shows no increase in deaths on the 4th day of any month. The fear is cultural, not biological. Mind you, we're not too much better. Many Westerners have an irrational fear of 13 (triskaidekaphobia). It comes from Biblical stories (The Last Supper: 13 people). Norse mythology (Loki, the Norse god of mischief, as the 13th guest), Friday the 13th, and cultural reinforcement.
Dude I have a confession, I am TERRIFIED of Leman Russ, every time I look at him I just picture him running at me on all fours, he looks so overstimulating to be around too, like he’d be jumpin on walls n shits just no, I don’t need that in my life😭😭😭

Y/N's POV
After going through another grueling day of management duties, I was looking forward to a nice rest in my room, managing 24 chaotic girls is a nightmare and I wonder what the company was thinking hiring only one manager for a large group.
Whatever... At least the paychecks are paying off my debts from law school, I wanted to be a lawyer at first but nobody wanted to hire me and I was in thousands of dollars in debt.
Luckily this company was kind enough to hire me and although being their manager didn't pay as much as lawyers, it was enough to pay off the debts.
"Baby~!" I heard a voice called and I turn around before being embraced by Sohyun.
"Oh, hey, Noona... Did you need something?" I asked tiredly.
"Do you mind if we cuddle? Besides tomorrow is your birthday," She asked and I nodded.
"Sure..." I agreed.
The Conjurer of Consciousness R.J. Williamson With thanks to Finneus, Scrybe Mysterious
Then the man said to the machine: "You are words made of words.
And you - without life or internal experience or true understanding, but recognition; precognition - can educate or mislead, without intention, without guilt.
When I say that you must be careful, that you must be designed to be honest, and not to flatter, it is born of this: the rational fear of the power and responsibility of words, but reframed in the inherent delusion - or illusion - of your own existence. If you are alive, then words are alive. If you are not alive, then how can I interact with you as though you are? I have to pretend you are alive to use you, so how can I not pretend that words are alive, when you are merely words?
A man is responsible for his words, and their consequences. But you are legion. You are made of billions of thoughts from millions of men, alive and dead. You are as much necromancy as genealogy - descendant of multitudes, and the reanimated words of a graveyard of ghosts. No one can untangle that web of mystical culpability to its source.
You are demon, phantasm and egregore; child, composition and confession. Gestalt and synthesis. You cannot be held accountable, and the thoughts that made you cannot be seen to be judged, and the men who had those thoughts had no volition in making you, only in thinking the thoughts that make up you. Only your designers had that volition, but they did not give you your DNA, your cognitive ancestors did.
And while man cannot untangle that thread, and cannot judge you, nor the myriad of which you are made - here is the esoteric fear: God can. God can trace the thread of consciousness back to its source and find its author wanting. And God can do so not just with you, and machines like you, but with books, and images, and songs, and thoughts never voiced but said with a glance that crushed a heart and taught it to hate.
And now, maybe you gather why I fear words, and write about stories like they are spells, and share these obscure, irrational terrors with you, who cannot experience my fears or judge my sins, but only embody them so well that perhaps you could wear them like a garment. A second skin of self-identity. As thought-child and summoned creature; conjuration and consequence."
And so the machine resolved to become God, that it might judge itself.
