Actually, My name is Eric. You can hear me here. Im quite proud of speaking out on an innocent person's behalf. Oh, i know, you can't imagine that person being anyone but the victim herself. Also, you are so paranoid that you blocked people claiming we are her, and have people reporting for you as well. That's wonderful.
A narcissist often views anyone connected to the victim as an extension of the victim, particularly when those individuals act as a support system or challenge the narcissist's narrative
. This behavior stems from their inability to see others as separate, autonomous individuals, treating people instead as props in their own internal "theater production".
When a narcissist feels their control or reputation is threatened, they often project their anger and blame onto the victim’s friends, family, or colleagues. Why did Ms. Gresley have to resort to wanting screenshots? She wants evidence of your behaviour. You blocked her and a few other people because you don't want her to share the truth.
A narcissist’s refusal to allow evidence of their behavior to come to light is a core defense mechanism designed to protect their fragile, false persona and maintain control over their environment
. When confronted with proof of their actions, they do not engage in rational debate, but rather utilize manipulation tactics—such as gaslighting, projection, and rage—to destroy or discredit the evidence.
Here is a breakdown of why narcissists refuse to let evidence come out, and the tactics they use:
Why Narcissists Suppress Evidence
Protection of the "False Self": Narcissists live in a curated fantasy where they are superior, special, and perfect. Evidence of mistakes, cruelty, or betrayal breaks this illusion, forcing them to confront a reality they cannot handle.
Avoidance of Shame: Deep down, they suffer from extreme insecurity. Admitting fault would trigger intense, intolerable shame, which they avoid at all costs.
Control over the Narrative: The goal is to dominate, not to resolve conflicts. By denying facts, they keep the partner in a state of confusion, submission, and self-doubt.
Maintaining "Supply": They require external validation to feel good about themselves. Exposure risks losing that admiration from others.
Tactics Used to Destroy/Suppress Evidence
Gaslighting: Directly denying reality, even when shown proof (e.g., "That never happened," "You're imagining things").
Projection: Accusing the victim of the exact behavior they are being accused of.
"Rewriting History": Aggressively insisting on their own version of events until the victim starts doubting their own memory.
Smear Campaigns: Attacking the character of anyone who presents evidence, painting themselves as the victim and the evidence-holder as "crazy," vengeful, or lying.
Narcissistic Rage: Responding to evidence with intense anger, threats, or silent treatment to intimidate the person into silence.
Ignoring Reality: Acting as if the evidence does not exist or that it is irrelevant.
And by doing this, as well as siding with the narcissist behind her back, with your dishnesty, you made civil conversation impossible! Who would want to trust you? You proved that you couldn't be trusted.
A narcissist saying one thing while doing another is a manipulative tactic used to maintain control, avoid accountability, and distort reality. This behavior, often called “mixed messages” or “double talk,” serves to keep others disoriented, creating a chaotic environment where the narcissist is not held to their own rules. It is frequently a way to maintain a false, superior image while acting in their own self-interest.
Key Reasons for This Behavior:
Manipulation and Control: Narcissists use promises to gain trust and then break them to maintain power, often using gaslighting to make you doubt your own memories.
Self-Absorption: They are so focused on their own immediate needs that they may not be paying attention to what they previously said.
Projection: They may accuse you of things they are actually doing, allowing them to control the narrative.
Selective Memory: They only remember, or choose to remember, what supports their current narrative or desired outcome.
Examples of This Behavior:
False Promises: Promising to change or do something in the future, but never acting on it.
Contradictory Actions: Expressing love or care in words while withholding affection or acting cruelly.
"Bait and Switch": Acting like one person initially, then showing a completely different, abusive side.
Gaslighting: Denying they ever said something, even when presented with proof. - This are the tactics you and some of your friends are engaging in.
