Sorry for going extinct for a while.

I am beginning to grow into the person I want to be, after finally achieving consciousness and self reflection, that is slowly turning into self love.

I have begun deconstructing from christianity, after finally finding a suitable path to go down.

I’m becoming a Hellenist, though that metamorphosis is proving a time intensive process. (An odd religion to go down in our modern era, I know, especially as an American.)

Ive begun gardening, and have had a very prolific first batch of seedlings.

I am taking back control of my life after the spiral of 2025; I feel as though I’ve woken from a deep wading slumber.

Perhaps I will share more, if you all wish to see my growth; all in due time.

Despite my instincts, it feels like patience is welling up from my blood.

The understanding that all human beings know what is good, and what is evil, from the day they are born. Now I do not speak of trivial things and social norms, but the difference between something you could do and something you should never do. The difference of benign and Heinous within one's own actions. You see the proof of this within children, the guilt they feel after stealing an extra cookie or drawing on the wall. Them telling you what they had done because they feel bad, even at the youngest of ages, they understand this. The Shooter, who's name I dare not mention, so that they will never be remembered and eventually smolder as ash in the fiery bowels of whatever hell swallows up Wicked fiends and Cowards aplenty; must be remembered as a human being, who made the choice to do evil. In my eyes, to choose to do evil is to be worse than a Monster.

The most important thing however, is to help the innocent affected by this tragic and wicked crime. I care not of your religion, party, or creed, these children are our innocent future, and whatever help we are able to give is our Duty as human beings.

Hey! To anyone with the willpower to have made it this far since the beginning of this Boycott.

For anyone who wants to view youtube, but not use youtube, I would recommend downloading Freetube before it gets inevitably taken down by this censorship regime.

Freetube has a subscription and notification function, it is able to view videos, and it scrapes your data before it sends anything to youtube. It does not even need a youtube account to keep subscriptions ETC and operate. And the best part? OPEN SOURCE! Freetube doesn’t get updated often, but Im sure all of us are fucking tired of all the feature bloat on our entertainment.

I want to Reiterate here, Freetube scrapes your data, and youtube’s videos and such, and its bots already use Youtube and count as traffic to the platform. Youtube’s numbers do not go up or down depending on Freetube users.

It’s like looking through a Ship’s viewport, but not getting in the water.

It is now Fixed with patch 0.23.8!

(Was a catchall for AD skipping programs youtube had done, where they dont play videos until the pre-roll ads play for certain APIs; which has been fixed by bundling it into the loadtime for a video while it boots up on Freetube)

So, with KOSA apparently being reintroduced all over again, I once again urge my USAmerican followers - call your representatives and make sure that shit doesn't get voted in.

(EDIT: There is now an even worse act that got introduced in the form of the SCREEN act, S. 737 (not to be confused with the other SCREEN act, which is... Apparently for something else entirely.) - in a nutshell, it's UK's Online Safety Act on steroids, and if it passes, will be enforced by the FTC, who can and will go even after non-profits like AO3. Call your reps and tell them to vote no on it!)

UK followers - continue signing that one petition to repeal the Online Safety Act, contact your MPs, etc.

Canadian - apparently there is another bill they're trying to push through, S.209, so you know, take action against that as well.

EU Citizens - Apparently Denmark is trying to push through a similar bill of their own, known as the CSAM scanning bill, so you know, do something about that as well?

They're trying to bring back KOSA here in the States because OSA successfully passed in the UK. CALL YOUR REPS AND YOUR SENATORS. This would affect fandom. Fanfiction and fanart would no longer be as easily accessible. It's also most definitely going to affect queer people and shows, movies, books, and music that contain queer themes.

You would need to enter your ID to access any of these, which is obviously a horrible idea, considering what the government and world are like right now. They're saying its for the sake of children's safety online. It isn't. It's to monitor what you're doing while you're on the internet and to block you from accessing shit they dont want you to see. It's a mass censorship and surveillance bill.

It's so fucking important that you use your voices right now. Do not stay silent. Call, call, call. Call after business hours so you don't have to speak to anyone if you don't want to. Call frequently. Be as polite and well-spoken as you're able. Let them know how it makes you feel. Tell them how unnecessary it is. Write yourself a script and read it if you have to! JUST CALL.

A child's safety online is the responsibility of their guardian(s). It's not ours.

What you should and shouldn't do about censorship in 2025:

DO:

✅️ Spread the word on all platforms that you have an account on.

✅️ Sign as many petitions as you can.

✅️ Call, email, and fax your Senators and representatives about KOSA, the Screen Act, the BEARD bill, the HR 9495 bill, and COPPA 2.0.

✅️ Call Visa and MasterCard.

✅️ Cancel YouTube Premium if you have it.

✅️ Find alternatives for YouTube and refuse to use it at all on August 13th and for every day afterward until they remove their age verification policy.

✅️ Save everything that is important to you on USBs.

✅️ Protest.

DON'T:

🚫 Submit any form of ID to any social media platform or website.

🚫 Comply with censorship regulations of any kind.

🚫 Let anyone tell you that this is to "protect the children." If they wanted to protect kids, they would release the Epstein files and arrest everyone in them.

🚫 Give up.

Not so gentle reminder that internet censorship “for the children” via KOSA and the SCREEN Act will only either cut those children out of this heavily internet-dependent world, or will encourage them to get online in ways that are extremely unsafe to people with an age appropriate lack of critical thinking skills.

It will likely effect their schooling to the point where they will have no choice but to give up their information, and if they don’t have a standard id (rare unless they travel with their families or are sick), they will likely have to use face id.

I really think we should stop saying "kid-friendly" and start saying "ad-friendly". We shouldn't indulge these companies and their excuses anymore. I also think that continuing to pretend that this is about "protecting the children" pushes a lot of the blame onto kids and teens, who don't have the political power to push through any of this censorship legislature. Corporations and governments are to blame.
