Post Citadel short.
(The immediate aftermath of Thane's passing in Huerta memorial, based on how much of a jump cut it feels when the scene ends.) ---------- Marla was silent. The world around her was silent. She could hear nothing. Slowly, after standing outside of the closed ward doors, she walked toward the entrance. One foot in front of another, concentrating on walking, each step measured and thought on. Halfway across the floor, her right leg buckled, and she lost her balance, landing heavily on her knee. Few people stared, lost in their own private grief. Marla rose, still mute. Still feeling blank. It wasn't until she reached the elevator and reached to push the console that she noticed the single tear slowly sliding down her cheek.
