Getting home from work, all I wanted to do was cry. I shut the front door and leaned against it, letting a few stray tears slip. "What's wrong hun? Long day at work?" I open my eyes to see you stood in front of me, my blankie in one hand and my baba in the other. All of a sudden I felt shy, so I ran to the closest thing that kept me safe; your arms. "You don't have to be embarrassed little bug! I'm here to take care of you, you have nothing to be afraid about. I promise," I sank into your embrace, dropping further into my headspace, "fank yu..."

"no, I don wan clean toys dada!" I shouted as loud as I could, sobbing and stomping my foot on the floor. You sigh, running a hand through your hair frustratedly, "Excuse me? Do as you're told please baby, this is your last chance or I'm counting to 3." I sobbed harder and just sat on the floor, crying and rubbing my eyes, "pease no coun to free! I no naughty dada, I seepy.." You just tutted and shook your head, crouching down to my level, "We can't have a grumpy, sleepy baby now can we? But, please tidy up just 3 things first, and I'll prepare your baba, is that a deal sweetheart?" I grumbled, "yes, dada..."

Sitting on my playmat with my stuffies, I hear my tummy growl. I crawled over to you at your desk and nudge your leg softly, "dada...m'very hungy." You stop typing on your laptop and look down at me lovingly, "you just had dindins sweetheart. do you want a snack baby?" I nod slowly and head back over to my playmat. You emerge from the kitchen 10 minutes later with a plastic plate of fruit all cut up into small slices! "Here you are my little angel, make sure your stuffie has some too."

We arrived home from the playground with a very muddy, tired and fussy little. "It's bathtime little bug! Look at how messy you are baby." You cooed. I grumbled, normally I'd love bathtime! But I was so sleepy from playing on the swings and slides I jus wan go nini. "Bu m'seepy dada..." You picked me up and took me to my nursery, "You can nap afterwards darling, but we need to get you squeaky clean first, alright? They'll be lots of bubbles to play with!" My eyes lit up, "Bubbwes dada! I wan lots an lots!" You laughed and kissed the top of my head, getting me ready for bathtime.

"dada! dada!" you heard me shout you from outside and knew instantly what was wrong. "hey little one. you feeling smaller than usual?" you say as you make your way over to me in the sandpit. I nod, not wanting to use my big girl voice. I make grabby hands and you pick me up, slotting me on your hip and you carry me back inside. "would you like your baba, baby?" I clap my hands excitedly and nod. You quickly make me a bottle of warm milk in my favourite baby bottle and sit with me on the couch, "come on bug, open wide!" I happily oblige, humming contently as you feed me whilst gently wiping the hair from my forehead, "my cute tiny baby, aren't you? so tiny!"
