so me and my wonderful friend have come up with what is probably the most cutest idea i’ve ever thought of all year… pelswick eggert as an age regressor.
now, before you all come after me for it, let me just say something real quick. someone can look at this kid and think of him as nothing more than a kid in a wheelchair all they like. but they don’t truly recognize what pelswick has gone through.
getting into a car accident that left him a paraplegic, said accident also killing his mother, getting harassed and tormented by an ableist bully because of his disability, and also just… having to put up with people and their bs in general. (seriously, bayview as a town is something else).
so, as a means of coping with all of this, pelswick believes that if he puts his mind in a younger state, he’ll feel better. and he does!
of course, the next step in his regression was finding a caregiver. and who would it be but julie smockford? the girl with the vibrant red hair and the cotton candy aura (emitting from her perfume)?
now, initially, pelswick was absolutely mortified when he came forth and told julie about it. but little did he know, when julie went home and did some more research about it, she ultimately decided that she wanted to be his caregiver.
after pelswick regressed in front of julie for the first time, he nearly felt sick to his stomach. he was so worried that this would put a strain on their relationship, but needless to say, julie took his regression with stride. and now she can pretty much be classified as caregiver of the year.
pelswick’s little age is around 0-3, while his big age is 13. some of julie’s favourite things to do with him include, but are not limited to, feeding him from his bottle, playing with his toys, putting him to sleep, and giving him cuddles whenever he needs them.
and let me just say for the record that whenever pelswick regresses, he isn’t just acting like a baby. he pretty much IS a baby. he laughs like a baby, he cries like a baby, he talks like a baby, etc. this is also the reason why kate and bobby (his younger siblings) enjoy playing with him while he’s little; they get to be the older siblings, while he gets to be the baby brother.
speaking of his family members, all of them are absolutely supportive about pelswick and his regression. his father, his grandmother, his younger siblings… they all enjoy seeing pelswick be in this stress free mindset. they know that this makes him happy and they’re all cool with it.
