Step 1: Find a partner

          Ah, she’s right. That girl knew a lot more than she did. What’s not a bad thing as Yulie liked to listen to people who knew what they’re talking of and that surely happened right now. Though, she wondered why the other female was talking about black holes like she actually had been close to one before? Kinda odd, but she didn’t matter. It was still interesting to hear her opinion as the model wouldn’t bother the other to stop her thoughts. Whereby she even dared having a deep look at her to show her interest and attention.

           “You sure know a lot about these things, huh? How come?” Maybe, simply interest or she even did learn about them. Whatever it was, it was really admirable. Something Yulie couldn’t tell as she only could teach anyone job related things because of less interests.

“Well it’s only natural--”

For someone who was born a Galaxy, she would say but decided to clamp her mouth shut when she realized just how crazy that would sound. She wanted to share with the humans about what she was and where she came from but they always thought ill of her because of how blunt she could be. To beings among other stars and planets, saying that she is Cosmos would immediately prove what she was. Other lifeforms seemed to be more understanding while the humans of the Milky Way could be a lot more skeptical. 

Maybe it was the distance. Humans were, after all, a very long way from other life.

From some distance he watched her present the little ball of radiance to the Grove. He watched on in awe, mouth agape– unsure what to say. He watched on as the great vines and fireflies floated down to accept the little star. He watched on as it was lifted into to its lofty boughs. Even Klaus had never seen such a spectacle within the Grove. As usual she never failed to impress. Sense slowly returned to him and he walked his way towards the enigmatic girl.

“That’s– You’re–” He searched for the words, rolling around his head. “Incredible.”

That wasn’t even the right word. This feeling of absolute wonder and fascination was not something he could easily explain– not in one word. To think this girl had such a power, it made his own seem a little insignificant. The great power over the stars, celestial giants of the sky. It was a mind boggling thing. “So… You aren’t exactly human. Are you?”

A strange sensation came over her at the compliment and she could feel her cheeks warm in response. Normally the people on this planet had a habit of calling her crazy before she had a chance to show them just what she could do, but in this situation it seems that they’ve seen her power before explaining herself. It seems things will be a bit easier this time.

Cosmos turns her attention to the man with the amazing connection with the Grove and smiles bitterly.

“No... I’m not.”

In her original form, she would never think to tuck hair behind her ear when speaking about something so personal. 

“Wait, whaaaaaaaaa — !!”

She can’t contain the shriek that escapes her lips when a wormhole of all things appears and — sucks her in. What. What?!

Dropping next to the other girl, Ada lands on all fours, eyes wild and frenzied. Her hair and clothes match her expression, both mussed and wrinkled. She looks around, completely bewildered. The birds were gone, a relief, but… how?

Gaze traveling up the younger-looking girl, Ada just stares, mouth slightly ajar. “That — that was a bridge?” she stammers. “You know, most bridges are made of steel or — or concrete! Wood, even!”

Hurriedly picking herself up, Ada doesn’t even bother picking out the pigeon feathers in her hair or rubbing off the grass stains on her knees. Her hands cup the other girl’s, eyes sparkling with unusual excitement. “But that? That bridge was made out of pure… unadulterated… cool! How did you do it?”

As if it were completely out of the question, completely normal and completely sane, Cosmos waves a hand as most of the birds fly off in separate directions. She ignores the looks from other people that witnessed the phenomenon and turns to Ada as if nothing even happened. As if she didn’t just summon a wormhole in the middle of a park and transported a girl from one place to the other.

Nope. Not strange at all.

“Ah? Well, a bridge connects you between points so as long as it follows those fundamentals--Eh!” She’s surprised to have her hands taken hold of and she stands ridged, almost frightened. But she relaxes when the other girl’s response turns out to be positive. Cool. That was a positive word! She’s heard it before and she can now reply without embarrassingly thinking it was literal.

         Quite a suitable description. A library might not be like a black whole but still had something similiar once you’re trapped and won’t find your way out. It’s nothing like a place which would swallow you and never give you back, but still made the young model wonder whether there had been people actually getting stuck in that place. Almost like the opposite female who needed the help. Though, she probably was trapped in here for a few minutes only. What’s not that bad in Yulie’s opinion. Which she continued to walk beside the other one to soon reach their destination. Her long-shaped legs moving in a quiet manner.

          However, they stopped by the sudden question coming from the stranger beside her. Causing a pair of honey hues to reflect some confusion and interest at the same time. “I don’t know much about the space and stuff, but I don’t think it happens that often? Or does it?” Maybe, this girl new a lot more than she does. Which she kept her eyes on the female.

“Well-- a black hole normally appears after the collapse of a star, but sometimes they can appear from thin air without much warning when an event horizon forms. I’ve dealt with a few of those. They’re scary.” She talks as if it’s completely normal to have interacted with black holes-- This was how she lost the interest of many humans she spoke to. They always thought she was insane. But in reality she speaks the truth. Countless random black holes appeared within her on a daily basis-- in this form, however, she isn’t sure. She was afraid that one could swallow her up in an instant if it did.

    A look of confusion spread across Milo’s now slightly surprised face when a sudden voice rang out beside him, attempting to spout out a name that, oddly was similar to his own, yet he had no idea who this girl was. So it was doubtful she even knew his name, but nevertheless, he looked at her anyway. He stopped (having been walking, but just slowly), making sure their distance was good enough, before he crossed his arms, tilting his head just barely.

“.. Um, I’m Milo…” he said, hoping his name reassured her. He tried to recall a time actually that someone was scare of him, rather than the other way around. And now he was at a standstill. What did he say to her now ?

Milo--

The girl visibly relaxes in his presence but she is still quite distant. The first time she’d ever seen the man known as Malorid, he was very cruel and explained how he all he wanted was to take Lone away from her. But by doing that he would have to tear it from her chest.. and that would not only kill her but billions of other lives and well. You could see why Cosmos is hesitant to approach a man that looks similar.

♒✫♒      "It’s okay, I was kidding about the date–but, uhh.” He          paused, was this girl a foreigner, did she not understand the           language or something? “A date is when you and someone          you have feelings of attracting, or possible feelings of attraction          spend time together to confirm such feelings of attraction.” Leo          attempted to explain to the other, but he wasn’t so sure he was           doing a very good job of it, he could only hope she understood him.

                He paused though, when she talked about the water, and let          out a smile. “No, I understand that, I really do, because I was like          that too. I learned to swim when my dad kinda just put me in the          water and left me there to learn how to swim myself. It worked, but          water can be many things, it can be friendly or it can hurt you, depending          on who you are. The more you fear it the more likely you are to get          hurt by it. Water is something you should slowly adjust to until you          know yourself if you love it, or you hate it, because it returns your          feelings exactly.” Leo–Leo loved the water.

“Oh!” 

Now she felt silly. He was kidding. That meant it was a joke, right? Meaning...it was not true. He did not want to take her on a date and she would not be getting any food. Oh well, she could live for another day without it. Her body needed to run on food but it didn’t need it as much as any other human body did.

But at least she understood what a date was now. From now on she wont be making a fool of herself when it comes to that!

The way he talked about the water sounded like he was full of.. admiration? She was somewhat jealous that he could speak of it in such a way while she on the other hand was so scared of it. She’s never tried to swim before. Her body may be light and capable of flying, but in the water, she’s unsure if the planets and stars within her would drag her down or if the dense waters would do the trick. She’s touched it before--it was cold. The possibility of the chill burning out her sun also played a major role in her worries. But she was not unwilling to further check it out at some point.

It doesn’t even occur to Ada that the other girl is dead serious, so she snorts. “Both. But they prefer people — challenges excite worms, you know?”

It would be a lie to say that she didn’t find her rescuer’s stiff movements absolutely hilarious. Is this kid a comedian? A street performer? Is she actually being punk’d and these birds are actual machined engineered to mimic fowl life?

The bird on her head pecks furiously at Ada’s forehead, as if in an attempt to knock some sense into her.

“My name — ow — is — ow — Ada, by the way,” she says between each peck, hoping that, against all odds, the creature didn’t stab her eyeball. “Would it be too much to — ow — ask for you to, may — ooow! — be, hurry up? I mean I appreciate that you’re — ow — taking time out of your day to help me, but — not the eye! — at this rate, I’m going to beco — owowow! — me bird… brained…”

“They eat both--?!”

Cosmos was about ready to just work her magic as a Galaxy because this was ridiculous! Worms were terrifying! While her only real threat in her original form may have been a large black hole, in this body things like worms were just the tip of the iceberg. Mortal bodies were so exposed and endangered no matter where they went.

She watched helplessly as Ada was attacked by one of the birds and she felt awful and terrible for taking so long to get the worms to come out of their hiding place. But she was just so scared--! Dargo said space jumping was only for emergencies so she was going to count this as an emergency! No way was she going to wait any longer!

          Well, those places sure are puzzling. Once trapped in one section, it felt like the entire library had swallowed you. What had happened to Yulie as well, but she had a good sense of direction. Which she also would be more than happy to guide the other female out of this huge place. Plus, it was a good sign this one seemed to not recognize her from any magazines or things. What’s always rather reassuring and leave the chance to actually talk to someone without further stress. What was such a rare thing it saddened the model.

           “You’re not bothering me at all. I’m glad I can help as I don’t want you to be trapped in this place forever.” Eventually, she would find her way out of here, probably. Still, she at least wanted to make sure she would find out without further confusion or desperation.

If she happened to continue on wandering in this place for any longer, Cosmos would have given up and used a wormhole for her escape. Of course, that was something that could catch a lot of attention and since it drained so much of her energy it was only used for emergencies! At least, thats what Dargo always scolded her for. Escaping jail was a good example for an emergency he had mentioned, but getting out of a human’s library --? What would be his response, she wondered?

“I don’t think I’d be trapped forever.” She’s able to smile and laugh a little at the silliness of her situation. “It’s nothing like a black hole.” Many of those have appeared within her Galaxy and eaten her stars...but they were still the only thing in the universe capable of swallowing her up once big enough..it would be simple now even for the smallest one. She was more worried about that, then a silly old library. Sort of.

It was incandescent. Beautiful and completely other worldly. In all his experiences he had never seen such a thing. He had seen the sky part and reality blur but all that could barely compare to this. The girl seemed to hold the bright burning ball, afloat between her delicate fingers.

“Woah…” His mouth was slightly agape. The voices around him wondered in marvel, marveled in its wonder. This was a positive change. It had been quite some times since the Grove sung in such excitement and awe. The growth around them responded accordingly, becoming greener and brighter. Then with little warning vines and trunks parted, revealing something more. It was the heart of the Grove, a lattice of roots and branches around a crystals imbedded into great heart tree, “She’s allowing you into her heart…” Even Klaus rarely set foot in there, “That’s where you can give her the star…” Still starstruck. “…Go on.”

Cosmos was struck with awe as well as she noticed the Grove react to her offering. Beautiful greens shook and moved and when the heart, as Klaus called it, was revealed to her she almost forgot what it was like to breathe. A star was beautiful indeed, and so was a flower, but this was something else entirely. Even the plants from her own Galaxy had never opened up to her before.. and not only because she was the Galaxy.

“Alright.” She moved slowly as to not drop Wo and held it out carefully as she approached. It wasn’t intimidating, in fact quite the opposite. Enticing and luring her with each step as she came closer to the Heart. 

There is so much fear and anxiety in the other girl’s voice that Ada almost tilts her head back and chortles. “The ground is as great a place to start as any,” she suggests, smiling lopsidedly. “I mean, if you’re lucky, you might find like a dead worm or two laying motionlessly on the sidewalk.”

She’s not all that familiar with the nature of… worms. Is there a specific season they come out in? Do they hibernate? All Ada knows is that gummy worms taste nothing like actual worms.

Oh. Great. The other park-goers passing by are throwing them befuddled and mildly annoyed looks — they aren’t exactly talking quietly, after all. But, then again, the park is a public space, so she doesn’t really understand their problem. Still, if they cause too much of a ruckus, Ada wouldn’t be surprised if a deadbeat cop were to approach and tell them off.

With that in mind, Ada coughs lightly. “And, hey, try to be a bit discreet when you start digging, okay?”

“A dead-- ? ? Right. So then they will think that it’s going to eat them and run away?? Like an illusion!” 

But wouldn’t that also make them poop all over the girl? Just as much as it would be for her to run around and shoo them off herself?? Oh comets, what kind of situation has she gotten herself into?! Dargo would be ashamed of her if he saw the position she was in. An almighty Galaxy from the far reaches of the Universe, stuck in one spot surrounded by birds and afraid of a couple worms! 

But how was she to know what size and how hostile those worms were?

“I-I will try my best!” Like a robot with rusted joints, the girl makes her way toward the patch of grass towards her left. People are staring as they stroll by and she is too shaken in her very core to realize that they were in fact walking normally and not scaring any of the birds away. At least, not very many at one time.

Where to start--? Where to begin digging? Cosmos falls to her knees and pulls at some grass. Though she immediately freezes and looks up at the human she was trying so hard to save with scared eyes.

           Wasn’t it quite odd how less attentive people were around such places? Not that the petite female was bothered by that fact. Quite the opposite as she found it reassuring. Finally a place she could step into without being chased by people wanting her picture or get a small-talk with her. What’s also not as annoying, but still stressful if freetime was all you wanted. Well, until it was broken once more by a sudden touch against Yulie’s frame, making her turn around to face the other figure in silence and rather high curiosity.

            She was glad having a normal question thrown at her instead of something related to her job. What caused her to put on a smile, honey hues scanning the opposite female. “Actually, i’m on my way back to the entrance. I could walk you there, only if you want to.”

“Oh wonderful. I’m afraid I get lost too easily in these places.”

Ever since coming to this planet for the first time Cosmos had learned that she had a rather large interest in the stories humans told. She liked to wander in places like this and read into as many as she could, all the while learning more of their phrases while she was at it. Though she could still be a bit clueless...and that has gotten her into some awkward situations in the past.

Hopefully this one wouldn't turn into one those scenarios.
