In case you didn’t know, McDonalds not only rolled back DEI initiatives in 2025, but McDonalds Israeli franchise, Alonyal Ltd., provided members of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) with free meals in 2023. That particular action was met with so much backlash that McDonalds bought back their Israeli franchise, but they continue to operate locations in Israel, which is currently committing genocide against Palestinians and has been illegally occupying Palestine since 1967 with genocidal actions against Palestinians being committed by Israel as early as 1948.

All of that is to say, please do not let excitement about new kpdh content distract you from the fact that McDonalds is an EXTREMELY unethical, greedy, multibillion dollar franchise that supports a genocidal, apartheid state. (Note: this is criticism specifically targeted at Israel, NOT Jewish people as a whole. Many critics of Zionism are Jewish, and a huge amount of Zionists are Christian nationalists. This is not the place to be antisemitic. Neither Antisemitism not Islamaphobia is welcome on my blog.) McDonalds neither deserves nor needs your money. I understand that boycotting everything is not always possible (ex: search engines), but McDonalds is absolutely something possible to boycott. And talking about how awesome the commercial announcement was, even if you are not planning on buying anything from McDonalds, is giving McDonalds free marketing.
