i stay silly

they just feel so STAGNANT!! i created them when i was like 13-16 years old and their story never progressed much past "they have super powers and they somehow take revenge on the chemical company thats poisoned their community for decades" and is very clearly like. me fulfilling a personal fantasy bc lol thats MY community thats what i wish could happen to make my home area better. but i've waffled so much about the story that it has no clear structure even in my head, its just "this group of queer people who can teleport and shit somehow take down a chemical giant and save their hometown yay!!"

and idk i feel like i could do Something interesting with that premise and its smth im obviously passionate about, i love thinking about it, but ive never been able to work it out to any kind of cohesive story

so then i thought the issue was the setting itself and played around with changing that and keeping the metaphor but i think its strength is that its so specific. its a story about specifically fucking over dupont bc theyre the bastards that gave my home the nickname "cancer valley" and killed multiple members of my immediate family and are probably the reason im disabled because everyone from my area carries their fucking forever chemicals in their blood but its not super well understood exactly what kind of damage thats causing bc no one gives a fuck about appalachia!! FUCK!!! anyway
