Under a deleted thread of this post they went off on a racist tirade against me.

When they found out I was Black from one of my tags they started talking about how "Black people aren't the only people who experienced slavery. So they should get over it" and that I should "stop pulling the race card"

I hadn't mentioned slavery. I was explaining why someone saying something weird about the black panthers was personally upsetting to me as a Black person.

I think all I literally said was "if you're wondering why I care so much about this its because Im Black"

I am not the only Black person they have spoken to like this. This person is virulently racist. Not just ignorant.

Everytime I see people spread around this post Im like

"Oh right the day I went to college trying not to cry and scream because no one was noticing how racist this person was being to me in the notes. And now I have to be reminded of that forever because people only see their ignorance and think its funny"

Silence of the Lambs, Ace Ventura, RHPS, Sleepaway Camp, Longlegs, Psycho, the list goes on and on and on and The Hateful Image of You lives on in the hearts of everyone around us and TME people expect us to just, not care? Is it so hard to empathize with a trans woman for one minute that they can't even conceive of having The Hateful Image of You depicting yourself in a warped portrait with blood smeared on it and how it makes us feel? Especially that its a beloved community gathering thing to take part in The Hateful Image of You? That The Hateful Image of You unites everyone else in enjoying it? That the sharing of it perpetuates its renewal over and over again?

i’m fat, intersex, and disabled. so many times if i hung out with someone, their outfit gets complimented but not mine (even if i that person literally picked out my outfit so its not a matter of me just not having a good fashion taste). so many times have people treated other people around me kind but their attitude changes immediately if they have the misfortune to interact with me. i don’t do anything to warant this besides looking different. i get treated like i’m not there or not human. it sucks.
