diabetics in fiction are all like "okay that was my 2:45 alarm for my little juice box that I need to consume right now and if you don't let me you are literally threatening my life" and half of all diabetics I know are like "lol guess what yall I almost died again, forgot to eat lunch (it's currently 6 pm) and almost passed out in the shower lmao"

I knew a player at my table whose solution to being a diabetic surrounded by treats he shouldn’t have was to eat them anyway and quickly give himself another shot.

I don’t see him for a while and next I know he’s saying he was misdiagnosed and not diabetic and just hitting himself with like a very normal insulin dose plus 2-3 for like years.

I also have a relative whose approach to diabetes is to avoid all extra sweets and carbs and just stick to 2 bottles of wine a day.
