It’s probably an unpopular opinion but I much prefer remakes like the ff7 remake series, for all the problems those games have, or the resident evil remakes that are actually different. Any game being remade in this corporate mandated remake trend is popular enough that emulation is easily available so concerns about the remakes erasing the original are unfounded. Even if the changes result in making something bad, that badness is more interesting and artistically worthwhile than the same thing with modern graphics.

Totally normal comments on a reddit post about a comic about trans women being excluded from women’s shelters and “afab only” housing and how people will then hyperfixate on the trans woman potentially saying a mean word to the people excluding her rather than the mass exclusion that trans women face. Literally every single one of these comments are pearl clutching over the fact that the trans woman in the comic said a mean word to the precious “afab” (just ignore the wildly transmisogynistic things that were hurled at the trans woman just moments before)
