At first, all the elves thought that you were just a Skywing Elf. You looked like one after all, you had wings (obviously) and you had the same flowy attire that any other Skywing would have.

The only thing you were missing were horns

Ethari didn't judge that, of course he didn't, there could be a hundred different reasons as to why you didn't have wings. He chalked it down to you being hurt by humans long ago, it wouldn't have been strange to hear it; he assumed that there must have been a lot of Elves who found themselves at the wrong end of a human's sword.

Besides, humans liked to take trophies of anything they encountered; Ethari was just surprised that they hadn't your wings because what were the odds they caught a Skywing elf?

You could have laughed, in all honesty, because how could none of them understand that you were not like them? Far from it, really.

Ethari was not the first Elf who caught up on it, but he was the first one that you told. You supposed it was because it was interesting, kinder than the other Moondshadow elves (at least, that's what you gathered from the usual stoic elves).

He didn't believe you at first, he thought that you were just trying to pull his leg because what the hell did you mean you were an angel?!

It was only when you pulled up your sleeves and showed that you had five fingers, not four. That was when he started to believe you.

Though, even in that, he had to start out believing that you were some sort of half-human, half-elf hybrid. You had to show him time after time that, no, you weren't part human or part elf, but something else entirely.

When he did 100% believe you though, it was like new doors had opened.

He wanted to ask you a hundred different questions, but you would always answer them cryptically or inanely vague. Ethari felt as if he was losing his mind with how avoidant you were to answer questions.

Sure, he knew that you couldn't exactly tell him specifics, you just weren't allowed to, but that didn't stop his curiosity.
