This mini story is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, and I finally found the time and motivation to do so!

The main thing that captured my attention towards Kitty and Illyana, not just as a ship, but as a genuine pair, is their bond as soulmates. I fell in love with their devotion towards one another, regardless of possible romantic implications (especially in the early comics).

For my personal AU: Shepard, Miranda, and their daughter, Sailor Oriana Lawson-Shepard, soon after her birth.

Yes, I’m aware Miranda tried and failed to get pregnant at some point in the game. 

AU DUMP: My personal belief is that her father had her sterilized at a young age so she wouldn’t have the chance to “ruin” his bloodline by accident or by “so-called love”. In my AU, Miranda still has a uterus but can’t produce eggs. 

A few years after the war ended, Miranda and Shep were settled (along with Oriana; her adoptive parents passed in the war) and decided to try ONE round of IVF. Shepard’s egg, along with a sperm cell made from Miranda’s bone marrow. (It’s a real thing being worked on by scientists currently.) They were successful, and their biological daughter, little miss Sailor, was the result.

Yesterday was Miranda's day to shine. Today is Shep's.
