the only item on the margaritaville resort menu

the pacing in acts 1 and 2 felt very distinctly different to me in that despite being very very long quests and very very dialogue heavy, they actually kept the momentum of the quest going throughout that dialogue. characters explained things as they came up, characters and concepts were introduced as we went along; there wasn't dragging to a stop to explain events, then the emotions stemming from the events, then the expected reaction from the player, as told to you by paimon, sometimes several times. it just kind of surprised me (in a very good way) to see hoyo have their cake (long quests) and eat it too (lack of dialogue bloat) out of nowhere

additionally i've already been a cutscene enjoyer since the dawn of time but i think they've really ramped up the expressions specifically in the animated cutscenes? particularly in the scene with ineffa and the kuvaahki canon. and this might be completely wrong on my part but i swear it has something to do with them actually pushing the expressions on mouths more. because even out of cutscenes, nefer and particularly and more noticeably varka seem to have slightly wider/more noticeable mouths compared to older characters where they just kind of... don't look like they have one if they're not talking

speaking of nefer's model, i think she has an entirely sharper face. like her nose in particular. i don't have her and the wiki doesn't have her model turnaround yet but i swear from the side it was really noticeable in the aqs, particularly when you also had lauma for comparison. i just think that's neat

also i thought it was cute that instead of making you use the kuuhenki model during the aq scene where ineffa and aino use the moon lane (??? can't remember what they're called) and ignoring it they actually did make a version of ineffa holding aino for it
