Hey, I’ve worked in IT longer than anyone else, and it’s totally fine to keep using your phone this way! This is because phones are not bombs so they can’t explode.

I’ve recently discovered how much better life can be when we normalize this. My best friend and I have started saying “hang on, I’m scripting” when we need a minute to mentally rehearse during big conversations (and “bear with me, I’m doing improv” when we’ve reached the end of our script and start to struggle with words lol)

I don't even think it's playable, it's sounds in cool in theory, but in practice, it essentially wouldn't be an 'elf deck', it would wind up playing like a very weak black midrange deck who's creatures all happen to be elves with almost nothing to take advantage of that fact.

You could probably find your way out of the labyrinth eventually by just walking along one wall until you found the exit but Theseus and the Minotaur did not understand these advanced techniques.

Theseus also needed Ariadne to suggest that he use some string before he thought of any solution himself so frankly I’m not surprised. Dude just got on a ship with a lot of idealism and not a lot of planning.

No you credit cash because cash goes up with debit and down with credit and you debit pencils because supplies also go up with debit and down with credit. Some types of things go up with credit and down with debit. Like revenue. Or debt.

If you wouldn’t mind: could you elaborate why the words debit and credit are used this way? Like, if I want to personally remember this, right now I would have to memorize which way the words go for certain things; it would be easier to remember if there was a logic or deeper reason. So is there a deeper reason and would you mind sharing?

Nope you just have to memorize what kind of accounts go up with debit and what kinds go up with credit :D

Is it just that certain accounts automatically multiply whatever you put into them by -1 because they are counting subtractions/outgoing resources and other accounts do the opposite because they are counting additions/incoming resources?

There was nothing about all that in my accounting textbook.

I’m not saying that is how it is taught. But I am wondering if that rule generally applies or if I am misunderstanding how it works?
