Fleshrott, a pokemon that used to be a symbol of famine and pestilence has steadily declined due to the creation of modern pesticides until slowly they started returning to the wild and into large cities and much stronger than before, as if someone had been bringing them back from extinction. They would swarm streets and spit corrosive acid around to liquify their pray to eat later, what they considered pray was not exclusive to other pokemon, but humans as well. This is the map so far

The most fleshed out place is Ravenbrook, it’s a charming little clockwork town in the mountains that's very well known for its plentiful trade like clockwork machines and handmade goods. It's sectioned into quadrants, natural flora & fauna untouched by any outside intervention, antiques, handmade goods, and boutiques, and of course there's a lot of clocks. There's an ever going white noise of steam pistons, ticking clocks, turning gears and hissing, humming machines. Everyone seems to be rather Victorian and Edwardian, despite the current era. And also primal in avian-like courtship. The townsfolk are kind to the birds in the skies and streets, and seem to have fondness for shiny things and pretty colors. The men dress in bright colored clothing and the women dress in dull colors until they've found lovers. The more dull a man is, the more serious he is about a relationship and vice versa for the women until they get married and share each other's colors and patterns. If it's two men or two women it really depends on personal preference. It's a very big deal when two people wed because they mate for life. The more colorful someone is when they're old, essentially means how much they were loved in the past and present. Of course these colorful gifts can be given from either a lover, or from close family to show appreciation, the sentiment simply changes depending on who's giving it.

Ravenbrook is getting less and less visitors since the main road into the town was overrun by drider territory and people are too scared to go through it so the people in Ravenbrook have to travel down the mountain and to the docks for the yearly trade festival. There’s also a group of scientists researching the drider and attempting to make peace with them and integrate them into society in order to make use of their incredibly durable and soft silk, which is a prime material in making waterproof iridescent fabrics. These fabrics are a major product which merfolk and sea elves will pay a lot for.

Its sister city, Gearhollow is completely industrial, its dark and constantly covered by a thick fog from smokestacks and construction dust, the land is rich with metals, minerals that the (rather oppressed) people of Gearhollow mine and forge into the materials for the goods in Ravenbrook. They’re also responsible for the floating island the Nimbus Crucible and all of its buildings, airships, and the massive chains holding it down under the sea bc it’ll just fly away.

Nimbus Crucible is a man-made industrial floating island, which was originally created to be a port for trade and delivering across the map, but they revolted and broke away from both Ravenbrook and Gearhollow to become a theocratic society. It’s essentially a floating cult with military capabilities so nobody really messes with them unless it’s strictly for business in trade.

Harshpeak is, as the name implies, a harsh peak to survive. It’s constantly covered in snow and suffers large and violent storms. Very few things can survive in Harshpeak.

Lotusville is majority swampland and is riddled in rivers and streams, which the inhabitants made use for in their agriculture and abundant fishing. The homes and structures are all on stilts to minimize water damage and also keep the natural environment unharmed by their presence.

Sirael and Tal’Vesh are islands which were each colonized by tribes of sea elves and avian elves.

Quaterra is the four seasons island, each season gets a kingdom. Sunglade is summer, Fellbough is autumn, Wintrenhal is winter, and Bloomreach is spring.

Drider are a singular species but have different variants/races depending on their lineage or environment. They are abundant and they are everywhere. The most well known type of drider is the widow, based off black widow spiders. The females are the common black widow with larger bodies, bigger abdomens, and more hierarchical power. Where the males are much smaller and more of a brown color, only recognized as the same species due to common features, and the hourglass symbol on their abdomens. This kind takes pride in that symbol and makes it an insignia, which is made into their clothing and painted on their bodies.

The widows live at the base of the mountains leading into Ravenbrook. There are drider who live in the mountains of Harshpeak which are based off tarantulas, with thick hair and skin, as well as more fat reserves in their bodies. Tunneling/burrowing drider in the desert, which are quick and considered the most dangerous because you never know when you’re in their territory. Jumping spider variants, which are smaller, but I haven’t dedicated them to one singular region. Then there are the most common type of drider, the cellar spider variants, which are spindly and rather awkward looking, but they’re incredibly resilient and live in urban areas, usually with the least amount of traffic, and they’re known for invading people’s crawl spaces or even basements during the colder times.

I want to reserve an area of the map for forests and expansive fields of flowers for these little sprite guys I made

They all come in different hair and wing colors but they all have green skin to be able to hide inside/gather together in order to look like a flower. Their blood is also white to match the white when you cut the stem of some flowers.

This is the female of this species (Infant to adult)

Their gender dictates what fauna they look like and which regions they spend the most time in for the most safety. Their skin gets lighter as they grow to match the stem color rather than having to be swaddled/dressed in leaves until they come of age.

They all migrate during mating season to a very big field with various flowers and other fauna so they don’t have to worry about predators & looking out of place in the area.

Another part of the map is gonna be dense, humid rainforests which will be the home of these guys

The look like ferns in order to trick their prey, their tails are prehensile and grab with incredible strength. They are not only poisonous, but also venomous, so if someone manages to avoid being bitten & injected with toxins, if their skin came in contact with it, they will suffer horrible pain in stages from small itchy bumps on the skin, to intense itching and hives, to severe swelling and boils (which cannot be treated at this stage) and burn incredibly until the skin rots off. This rot goo can still be found by it and consumed despite being really icky. They have no immune systems and can consume whatever they please without consequence, even if it’s gross.
