You know, I actually really liked this week's episode of Zeztz.
It was really clever for them to, if I was following along correctly, play with our perception & expectations on what was a dream and what was real.
We spend the whole episode from Nem's perspective in her perfect life with her mom, while going to bed every night to dream of being chased by an unseen figure through a totally empty world.
And like, we knew that perfect life world was an illusion made by Phantom Gore, and we knew Oblivion Gore had erased everyone. And yet, I for one still thought the empty world was a dream; even when I realized early on the other figure in that world was Baku, I thought he was coming back from his erasure via dream bs.
But no; what it actually was was that the 'dream' was when Nem was awake and Baku finally, finally found Nem in the waking world and brought her back to base.
Spectacular. And I gotta give props for the show using it's premise to pull one over on me.
