This explosion left me with third degree burns on 85% of my body including arms, hands, face, ears with my legs being the most affected. I was in a coma for a few weeks and it took me 3 months just to get out of bed, for several years I had a lot of reconstructive surgeries including a face reconstruction since I had an allergic reaction to the silicon protective mask which formed a keloid on the left side of my face. My treatment was taken in a hospital for children with burns, in which through the years that I attended there I could know many stories, some sadder than others, despite my pain I understood that what had happened to me was nothing compared to what had happened to other children, that I was still alive, that what happened was for a purpose and that beauty manifests itself in different ways. I take this opportunity to thank those beings of light who were with me all that time and who took care of me as if I were their own daughter.
