being a queer german person and seeing the news fail to verbalise that the CSD attack in berlin was motivated by homophobia feels really crazy. i don't give a fuck where this person is from, the person who did this was homophobic and wanted us dead, and that is what we should be talking about. extremism has become far too normalised in this country and beyond. for one fucking second, talk about how normalised homophobia and is, talk about what a sad day it is for queer folks, about how we deserve to feel safe and that homophobia has no place in this country. can you actually care about us for once. stop using us to fuel your islamophobia or hatred of immigrants.

Well this is sadly kind of contradictory. I agree they should highlight the homophobia more but at the same time the Islamic background of this person IS their homophobia. It’s the whole reason. Like…. Homosexuality IS criminalized hard in their country of origin/culture. And this isn’t the first time an Islamist attacks gays in Germany. Remember one of them killing a trans man for standing up to lesbians at a CSD one or two years ago? The problem is that leftists in Germany think those the rise of Islamic extremism and homophobia in the country can be separated but it just can not sorry. I am speaking as a German citizen and gay married trans man. I am a democratic socialist on paper and an anarchist in life. I believe it’s okay to draw obvious parallels and speak the truth and that does not make me a Nazi. I have gay friends who are Muslim by family (not even Islamist, just Muslim) who have a very hard time at home coming out. Why is it so bad to honestly acknowledge that Islamic people (especially men) tend to be homophobic by default? It’s simply true. It’s especially true for recent immigrants. If you think you can talk about the homophobic motivations of the attack without acknowledging that they are religiously motivated good luck. And the rise of the AfD came after the rise of Islam and you know it. If you don’t I recommend you look at the timeline again starting 2014.

Deutschland macht gerade an der finalen Endlösung mit und Libanon Syrien Irak Iran und Palästina sind dabei grosse Teile ihrer Gebiete endgültig an Imperialismus zu verlieren. Wenn dich ein paar Menschen die leiden mussten so mitnimmt dass du gleich rassistisch wirst, was dürfen dann Menschen aus der Swana Region die durch die Politik in Deutschland und der U.S.A über 8 Millionen Menschen verloren haben.

The response to a homophobic hate crime should be to stand up for the rights and dignity of your queer fellow citizens. It is an extreme failure of our entire political class that nobody is willing to do this while eagerly using us as props for just another islamophobic campaign of dehumanisation of immigrants.

There's something kinda funny about how RWBY just absolutely refuses to die despite a constant stream of adversity. The first season was objectively hot garbage but it still got a second season. The creator of the series whose passion project the whole thing was passed away in a freak accident after the second season but they just kept going without him and somehow a significant portion of the fanbase went along for it. The budget got slashed in Season 5 because of gross mismanagement but no worries! The fans stuck with it and they got it back for Season 6. Then a few seasons later the entire company that's been producing it went completely tits up and we all assumed THAT would be the end but nope!!! They got bought by Viz. RWBY has now outlived both the man who dreamt it up and the company that produced it. In an era where numerous streaming shows get axed after one or two seasons despite being critical successes with large fanbases it is completely baffling that a show that is so consistently troubled and infamously has an extremely mixed reception cannot be fucking ended despite all indications to the contrary.
