★ Miss Information had kept you under wing for some time now. Training, teaching, and mentoring you to the best of her ability. Thanks to her, you're a much better shot than Fold, can sneak around without being caught, and on top of it all -you're lethal. Ready to get out there and make her proud!
★ Dressed in the edgiest gear you could find, you've paired combat boots with cargo pants. Face half-covered by a gasmask or scarf. Scrappy looking, but functional. Protective gear is a must. Who knows what could happen out in the field.
★ Cute, until you realize the Farcade is basically using child workers. Letting anyone who can hold a weapon go out and cause trouble. You know what happens when kids are allowed to run wild? Accidents happen.
★ Until now, Fold had only been an example of what not to do. It's kind of weird how he thinks he can give you orders. Last you checked, Miss Information was your teacher. Not Fold.
★ You don't listen when he speaks. You ignore him, or just act mean. "Are you hungry? We can stop for lunch," Fold asked while waiving a hand in front of your face. "Have you eaten?" You looked up with a frown, rolling your eyes. "Yes, dad."
★ He means well, even if you don't like him for it. Part of him is terrified you'll end up getting hurt on his watch. Or, heaven forbid, captured by the Farcade. If that happens, It'll be his ass on the line! Like it or not you're his responsibility now.
★ Any injuries sustained on the job are either ignored completely or treated as if it's life-or-death. No in between. Regardless if you could walk it off and be fine.
★ Now on paper this all sounds like a pretty comfortable situation. You've got room and board, two parental figures, an education, and most importantly structure.
★ But it isn't perfect. Actually, you consider it a nightmare. Like the way most children despise public school systems. The alternative is living completely alone, so for the time being you put up with it.
★ The thing is, you want to fight. It's not just because you need to. Fighting gives you back some control. And it doesn't help that you've got something to prove. Though it's one hell of a motivator.
★ You've got both of their phone numbers. Fold's messages always stay on read. Miss Information's? You respond to her almost immediately. Choosing to ignore it only when you're in actual danger. Luckily, that isn't often.
★ The two of them cover for you all the time. Every so often, you just bail. Maybe getting the urge to have some space. You "borrow" a ship from the boss and take it for a joyride. Don't worry... you'll hear all about it later. (If Warrick found out, he'd be so proud of you.)
A couple of things. First is that I think Clocky would take up the entire get along shirt. Mellow and his sister frequently come home so find their dad drunk. Passed out on the lawn. Lastly, my design for the guardian angel!
So Miss Information was absolutely a Navi/tutorial NPC right? Her whole schtick of annoying Fold and gathering data definitely feels like what you’d do if you had to expand on an NPC that follows and nags on the hero.

He hates the thought of you feeling lonely or left out, so he makes sure that you're included in whatever the neighborhood is doing for the day.
He enjoys hanging out with you and the rest of your friends, but he also needs some quality time with you by himself.
He's not really good with voicing his thoughts and emotions sometimes, so at times you'll have to interpret the signs to figure out what's bugging him.
He would actually love to wear couples' clothes from time to time. Especially on days like Halloween or Valentine's Day!

She's really affectionate, chaotic, and loving. Especially at the beginning of the relationship, Julie's whole time and energy would be focused on you.

She's really hectic, and this means she gets into accidents a lot. Both of you will have lots of small bruises, stains and scratches everywhere.
She will destroy a room during a game, then smile sweetly and ask if you can help her clean it up.
She loves randomly singing at you. Especially if you get flustered easily.
You're definitely the “responsible one” in the relationship!

He's very grumpy and fussy, but he's also very devoted, observant, and honest.
You can say that he's even a bit too honest at times!
Even the thought of saying "I love you!" flusters him, so he would rather do stuff for you to show his love, like organising your room, helping you with projects, or attending to your garden.
You'll have to learn the difference between "complaining" and "complaining." Not every frown means that he's in a bad mood!
He remembers every tiny detail you mention. Your favorite food, questions you asked, things that bother you... All of them are inside a little box in his head that has your name on it!
Teaches you things all the time because sharing knowledge = intimacy for Frank.
Offers you rare, soft smiles that only you get to see!
He straightens your collar, checks your shoelaces so you don't fall, and makes sure you drink water and pack things for your dates all the time.
He loves naming plants after you in his garden and talks about you to the bugs.
He gets flustered easily when you compliment him and huffs and puffs all the time. You know he actually enjoys them, though!
He likes taking care of you. Checking if you're warm enough, getting you medicine when you're sick, making sure you don't hurt yourself, and hovers nearby even when he pretends he isn't...
He loves to say "I told you so!",too, though.
He's very blunt and prefers telling you whatever is wrong rather than sugarcoating it. He never uses a rude tone, however!
His biggest problem is overthinking.
He refuses to lie, even the little white ones! Integrity is very important to him.

He enjoys quiet evenings reading together, walking through gardens while he talks about insects you can't pronounce, cooking with you, and going shopping together.
He complains about how you do a chore...until he can't take it anymore and does it himself.
Sometimes the chaotic nature of the neighborhood can get him overwhelmed.
He's hard to open up, but loves it when you're gentle and patient with him until he does talk.

She's highly expressive and will shower you with dramatic declarations of love, exaggerated compliments, and theatrical affection all the time. The more crowded, the better! She wants the whole neighborhood to know how much she loves you, after all!

Couple costumes are a must! And she will constantly involve you in plays, performances, singing duets, or dramatic retellings of little stories, too.

If something goes wrong, she’ll claim she meant to do it that way and expects you to play along.

She's competitive and will try to win whatever you two are doing, especially if it involves performing.
When you’re insecure, she becomes surprisingly gentle and supportive.

Sometimes she can get very bossy and demanding.

She expects compliments all the time and especially melts when you do it flirtatiously.
She will make you her co-star in almost everything: dancing, singing, dialogue practice, storytelling. You'll have to talk to her to get her to give a chance to the others. They're your friends, too!
She will absolutely serenade you under a spotlight she set up herself.

He's a gentle giant with you. Expect frequent hugs, shoulder pants, getting carried around, and playful nibbles here and there.
He's laid-back and easygoing. He rarely takes things too seriously.
He's very hard to anger, and very quick to forgive. Why would he want to stay mad at his favorite person, after all?
He's confident, but sometimes it can feel arrogant.
He's always ready to lift your mood!
He's your ride or die, and will stick with you no matter what happens.
He's a total jokester, so your days will be full of puns, word plays, and goofy antics.
If you’re having a bad day, he considers it his personal mission to make you smile again.
He loves it when you laugh at his jokes.
He'll make inside jokes with you all the time!
He teases you all the time, too, but makes sure you know he means no harm.
He loves sitting beside you, walking with you, or doing low-key activities during the day.
He's the type to support your dreams even if he jokes around during the process.
He probably cannot cook to save his life. Because of this, he loves it when you do it, but will eat literally anything, so a praise is always guaranteed.
He brings home weird snacks or hot-dog-related monstrosities to “share" with you. Most of the time, even the sight alone is enough to make you gag. Then, he just strugs and says, "More for me, then! Your loss, darlin'."

Sometimes you'll have to actively tell him to get serious and lock in.
If you dislike puns… good luck. He'll just double down and call it exposure therapy.

She's extremely gentle, nurturing, and tender-hearted. She has that "kind mom" energy that she brings to the table.
She's highly anxious, though, so she needs reassurance often.
She's affectionate, but she's too shy to express it, especially in front of everyone, and often gets flustered and embarrassed.
She gets easily overwhelmed, but tries so hard because she wants to make you happy.
She's a homebody to the core and is happiest having cozy dates in her barn with you.
She would prefer it if you came to her. Venturing out into town can get very stressful unless you hold her wing!
She's very appreciative of every small kindness you show her.

She will babble anxiously when she worries about disappointing you and tends to avoid eye contact.

He's outgoing, he's charismatic, he's playful and full of jokes!
He's a natural showman as well as a salesman and loves to impress you.
He's still very goofy, though!
He loves making you laugh, but loves it when you make him laugh even more.
He tells you stuff like “Well, well, well! Isn’t my favorite person in the neighborhood walkin’ right through the door!” all the time when you enter his shop.
He shows his affection by fixing things, organizing things, or bringing you random items he thinks you need.
He still tries to make you buy stuff and says, “You know what would go great with this date? A brand new… whatever-this-is! Half off for you, sweetheart!”
He will absolutely try to advertise products during dates. He just can't help himself!
He knows everyone and everything in the neighborhood, which also means he always has the best gossip to share!
He fixes the cupboard, reorganizes your shelves, replaces your broken mug even when everything is perfectly fine as it is...!
He brings supplies or treats “on the house" all the time.
When it's you, he delivers things himself even when he doesn’t have to. Sometimes he even fights off Eddie to do this, too!
He compliments you constantly.
He has twice as many arms, so you get twice as much affection!
He invites you to hang out at his shop while he works.
He lets you sit behind the counter with him. And you have to know, this is a big sign of trust! Not even Frank is allowed there!
He loves talking about his gigantic family tree and listening to your stories, too.
He cries easily when he's distressed. He even has four handkerchiefs ready for all times!
He wants you to think he’s capable and put-together, but he gets insecure when he thinks there's someone better than him.
In times like these, he needs a bit of reassurance that you do appreciate him!
He's a total workaholic, so there are times you'll need to drag his butt back home so he can get some rest!

You’ll often end up patching him up, guiding him around the neighborhood because he has a horrible sense of direction despite being a mailman, or catching him before he actually falls and hits his head.
He starts to hum songs when you're around without even realizing it.

The weird cognitive dissonance between Young!Olivia’s serial killer behavior vs. Old!Olivia’s maudlin overprotectiveness towards Gwen makes a lot more sense when you think of Gwen as an intellectual property rather than a person.
Think of all the little girls who ritualistically mutilated their Barbie dolls as an expression of their ids + whatever it was they were going through as children who grew up to be sentimental old women who grew attached to Barbie-the-IP as the nostalgic symbol of childhood as defined by the corporation selling Barbie to parents so they’d indoctrinate that same brand loyalty into their own children. How those old women just kind of…forget that their childhood selves treated Barbie and the gendered expectations attached to her with such scorn, because they prefer to remember a prepackaged version of their childhoods without all the messiness, ugliness, and frustration with their own lack of freedom as children and as little girls in a misogynistic world.

What a fascinating visual metaphor for a lot of complicated collective cultural baggage around beloved childhood IPs. It just gets a little more complicated when the IP in question is also a real person who is capable of experiencing pain.

Finding the Vessel
★ Abandoned by light, the Vessel fell into endless darkness. Stuck somewhere. Maybe sitting with a man behind a tree. What's a body without a soul? Nothing. Just an empty slate. Kris wasn't supposed to be your cadge.
★ This nightmare never seemed to end. Kris fought against you, making everything that much worse. Honestly, it was understandable. Nobody enjoys becoming a stranger in their own body. They didn't know the feeling was mutual.
★ If reunited with the Vessel? Who's to say what might happen. Everything could turn out okay. Or perhaps nothing will ever be the same again.
★ Kris picked a fight, using the fact they finally got a target to their advantage. Before, the most they could do is rip the soul out and kick it into the garbage. Now you have a face to hate.
★ Following behind would be Suzie. Wherever Kris goes she's certain to follow. Only instead of attacking, like usual, she'd be holding her friend back. Yelling "Dude! It's not worth it!" Keep in mind that the Vessel looks like an average human. About the same age as her.
★ She thinks you could be a friend. Everything about you screams cinnamon roll. Suzie can't wrap her head around the situation, but she's positive you aren't a treat. No clue why Kris keeps acting like you did something weird...
★ Speaking of weird, it's hard to tell if you're a darkener or lightener. Existing somewhere between the two planes of existence. You have a soul, yet also cast magic. Something humans aren't exactly known for. Not much scares you. The thought of hurting Kris by simply existing does.
★ Ralsei helped you decide who you want to be. Seeing this as a fresh start for you and the chosen Vessel. Together at last. Kris has decided you still aren't worth giving a second chance. Ralsei disagrees.
★ With the way things were, giving you the option to be your own person seemed unrealistic. But here you are! Blossoming. -Not quite like a flower, more like a parasitic fungus. Draining energy from the world around you.
★ Until further notice you'll be living in Castle Town. Where Suzie and Ralsei can keep an eye on you. The two practically begged you not to leave. Come on... it's not like you have anywhere else to go.
★ You resemble one of Gaster's followers. You might vanish without a trace, just like him. With a grayscale body and unsettling demeanor. Most recruits try to steer clear of you.

Making characters is fun, because trying to come up with a whole personality and life from nothing is honestly a challenge. Characterization, goals, traumas, even what roof they live under. Accounting for everything really gets me to think!
