1956. The Golden Age of Television.
TV star Vincent Whittman thinks he's in control of his life, his crimes, his spotlight. The one thing he can't control? The weather.
An unexpected storm delays his flight home, stranding Vincent in New Orleans, Louisiana. There he meets Alastor Hartfelt, a striking man with an uncanny ability to unravel his sense of control, yet complete him all the same. However, the chance encounter sends Vincent spiraling into sleepless nights plagued by cryptic dreams- and soon clipped onto two leashes, tugged between Alastor and a hellish, smiling entity.
What's more, when tasked with accomplishing a vague, but important goal, Vincent is forced to reconsider what he wants not from his current life, but his inevitable afterlife. Murder, demonic rituals, and romance ensues over a battle to win back freedom before he gets to that point.
