I've always wanted to create a fanart that captures my overall impression of this ficl! Now that the mystery has been (partially) revealed, I finally have the chance... (though some of it is still my speculation).

I think I've not mentioned a point I really love in this fic before — that is, almost the entire novel so far is told from Vincent's perspective. And that means, even though we're technically in an omniscient point of view, we still can't figure Alastor out. Sometimes he feels so distant and mysterious 😩😩 It's agonizing(in a good way). I guess for some time, we'll have to think desperately like Vincent does — why did Alastor do that? Where did Alastor go? How can we bring Alastor back? But it's also very captivating... I think this is one of the unique charms of this fic!

Every time I try to imagine the reason for his time travel, I feel a bit sad. Ugh, Alastor is really bad at feeling and is completely clueless about this situation, isn't he? 😭 At the end of this chapter, he seems truly devastated. I felt a bit heartbroken reading that part too... 💔 (I mean, please continue, dear author, I love feeling heartbroken XD)

I didn’t wanna spam you guys over and over, so I sent everything all at once…Some of these don’t even mean much—just random little scene snippets. I just couldn’t help drawing them.Most of these I finished months ago, only a handful are new pieces I drew a few days back!

I still can’t believe I actually pulled this together. I’ve honestly had so much I’ve wanted to say…

Last November, I left my last fandom after some unpleasant stuff happened. I got anxious about picking up a paintbrush and creating art again. I’d left everything familiar behind, and felt totally out of place in this new fandom too. That was right after S2, right after their human designs were revealed. Around that time I was absolutely devouring every murdermedia fic I could get my hands on.

Then in December, I stumbled across your fic.The second I read the summary, I just knew THIS WAS THE ONE.This AU changes so much about the canon, in ways I never could’ve imagined. Who knew they could be like this? Yet it still fits their characters perfectly, almost magically so. You guys really uncovered a whole new side to their charm!?The way you write everything feels so natural and cohesive—every plot beat flows perfectly, yet you can never predict where the story’s gonna go next. I… I really want to see where you take them next… what the future of this story holds… if it's possible.

This fic rewired my brain completely. It’s the first time I’ve ever drawn fanart for them like this. I just wanted to do something small for a story I love (even though I don’t think my art does your fic’s unique charm at all 🏳️).

Your fic honestly gave me the courage to step out of my comfort zone and create something new… that's very inspiring, really!

Sorry if I rambled way too much—I can never tell when to stop talking. I really don’t wanna put any pressure on you guys at all. This fic means a lot to me, and I also want to let you know that all the effort you put in really means something—it genuinely changed something…

Alright , it's been a few days! I finally have some time to take a short break and do some doodling.

I love how Alastor’s like a stray cat, randomly perching/sitting/lying down on all sorts of places — like the hood of a car. Dude, are you secretly a cat? And also, casually swiping a cig from Vincent’s pack.

And guys, you have no idea how massive the progress in this chapter is. Vincent used *only*almost *100,000* words to make Mr Radio Demon about 1% more honest.

You can’t imagine what a monumental achievement this is. I’m very proud of them — especially Vincent😔🖐️
