I go to Walmart often enough after work at midnight that night staff recognizes me, and tonight I stopped to pick up medical tape and as I was cashing out the self-checkout supervisor was like “I see you’re getting ready for Saint Patrick’s Day early” because my hair is bright shamrock green. And I told him he wasn’t the first person to make that joke and he started telling me that he wasn’t sure whether to wear a bowtie or regular tie to dress up for the holiday. Me thinking I’m gonna be a slick little nerd and make a Doctor Who reference without getting caught, said “oh you should wear the bowtie, bowties are cool” and this dude looks me dead in the eye and says “yeah but fezzes are cooler” goddamnit caught being a dork ass loser AGAIN

I’ve described this as “the most Doctor Who moment on Doctor Who”, and I stand by this description.
