either you are a transphobe and don't care if we live or we die or you do and you should be making an effort to include us. and that means getting more comfortable with ambiguity and nuance around trans people and their relationships to patriarchy and gender oppression. and that includes trans men and masculinity/manhood in general!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there is no way around this

today i had to do some government bureaucracy where i was asked for a security word i set several years ago which i have, of course, entirely forgotten in the intervening time. so i try to enter the mindset of younger me whose number one obsession at the time was mary shelley’s frankenstein and, not having any other ideas, i ask the guy at the counter if it has something to do with that. he tells me i’m so close and he’ll give me a hint: “you have to make your next answer count.” and it was then with dawning horror that i realized the security word i had set several years ago and forgotten was fucking dracula
