they tried so hard to banter like they normally do but his usual snarky self felt especially condescending and they just blurt out a “jesus fucking christ, knock it off” in the harshest tone he’d heard from them at that point.

bonus points if their voice quivers right at the end, just barely enough for david to hear it and his heart cracks because it just clicked that the aloof persona he puts on is actively hurting the person he loves most.

- i think music was a good choice for madonna to come out with but i did not like how it transitioned into seven nation army ?? i think it would have flowed much better if it went straight into dynamite, especially with the interpolation of disco inferno ???

- why are the muppets here and why are they doing the norwegian row

- as much as i wish bts performed something off arirang, there was realistically no other option besides dynamite. it’s the only song western general audiences know. they looked and sounded great tho.

- ted lasso skit for some goddamn reason. wasting valuable performance time. this could have been another bts song, instead we’re being segued into the worst possible choice for justin bieber.

- justin bieber, brother, you have more than plenty of good, upbeat, fun songs to choose from and u choose to come out with a complete and total SNOOZEFEST like don’t piss me off.

- nobody along the way was like hey man let’s perform somebody to love??? how about beauty and a beat???? sorry, perhaps??? BABY??????

- everybody thank shakira for bringing some life back in the stadium

- the kids singing was cute but i’m #notmoved by this whole “we are the world” vibe when the us was actively bombing more than one of the countries participating

- no it’s fine i just didn’t expect the muppets to play such a huge part in the halftime show

- overall fine, i guess, but it could have been much better. it felt like every artist decided what they wanted to perform at the last minute and it came off as unorganized. like when ur working in a group project and everyone just does their own section without communicating with eachother.
