This is sick.
The Ohio bill is crazy.
Like, doctors are literally telling you this is not physically possible.
So the proposed Ohio ectopic bill was not passed, but House Bill 598, aka The Human Life Protection Act, has been implemented. It bans all abortions after 6 weeks (when the heartbeat of a fetus starts) with no exemptions for pregnancy caused by rape or incest. There can be exemption if the pregnant person’s life is in danger, but that doesn’t mean much. The bill was passed in 2019 but a federal judge issued an injunction, blocking it from being enforced, ruling it violated the constitutional right under Roe v. Wade. With Roe being overturned, Ohio can now enforce it. It makes me sick.
