feeling some type of way about eddie explaining the things buck says to people. “buck was on the pier when the tsunami hit so he’s kinda obsessed with natural disasters.” “he takes christopher there all the time, got the place memorised.” it not only shows how much eddie listens to buck and cares about him, but it’s also him actively trying to get other people to do the same. this is why buck is telling you this, this is why it’s important to him, this is why you should listen to him. pay attention to him. care. it’s obvious how much that’s going to mean to buck, someone who came from a family where he had to fight to be cared about. and eddie does it effortlessly. he cares so much and he wants other people to care too. and like, we know buck will take any excuse to talk about eddie, and this is kind of eddie’s way of doing the same. his way of telling people what he knows about buck by elaborating on what buck says. i know why this is important to buck and i’m going to tell you because he deserves to be heard. it’s all very sweet.

buck and eddie are in bed and they’re having a quiet moment and buck is playing with eddie’s hair and maybe it’s the way the light falls in their bedroom or maybe it’s the way eddie’s looking at him but buck breaks the gentle silence by blurting out a “god i wish i could get you pregnant.” and immediately regrets it when he feels eddie tense against him and turn white as a sheet, neither of them speaking speaking for a long couple of seconds where buck internally berates himself and his inability to shut the fuck up, but then eddie quietly goes ….Is this your way of saying you want to open our relationship……? and buck jolts up in bed which makes eddie also startle up too and buck’s like ??????no???????? what????????? i don’t want that- do YOU want that??????? and in all of 2 seconds he wrestles and accepts in his heart that if this is what eddie wants/needs he will find a way to be okay with it, except eddie just looks at him incredulously and goes “of course not!” and buck huffs out a “neither do i!” and if anything eddie looks even MORE confused now and he sounds exasperated and a little bit defeated and is like Buck. you just said you wanted to get me pregnant- i can’t get pregnant- if this- getting someone pregnant- is something you want then we need to talk about it because i literally can’t give you that— and buck very gently takes eddie’s face in the palm of his hands, brings it close to his and goes Eddie. i don’t want to get Anyone pregnant. i want to get YOU pregnant. just you. and eddie goes oh. genuinely when people talk about dom/brat tamer eddie it really is like. that man doesn’t need any more responsibility. he doesn’t need to feel/be in charge all the time.
