Tan, 49, was the mother of Jami Webb, a recent graduate from the University of Georgia. She was a licensed massage therapist and the owner of Youngās Asian Massage, along with other businesses in the area, including another spa and a tanning salon, according to state records. She was āthe sweetest, most kind-hearted, giving, never-met-a-stranger person,ā a friend told Atlantaās WSB-TV. Just one day away from her 50th birthday when she was killed, according to USA Today, Tan was described by her daughter as thoughtful, devoted to her family, and looking forward to traveling in her retirement.
Hyun Jung Grant, 51
Hyun Jung Grant was a Korean immigrant who worked at Atlantaās Gold Spa. Her son Randy Park, 23, shared a tribute to his mother on GoFundMe: He said his mother was a single parent who ādedicated her whole life to providing for my brother and I.ā She loved dancing and sushi, according to Park, who told The Daily Beast, āShe wasnāt just my mother. She was my friend.ā Park, who now has to raise his brother alone, is not buying law-enforcement officialsā suggestion that the attack was motivated by a supposed sex addiction, not racism. āThatās bullshit,ā he said.
Delaina Ashley Yaun Gonzalez, 33
Yaun Gonzalez, 33, was a mother of two ā 13-year-old Mayson and 8-month-old Mia. She had worked all day on Tuesday at the Waffle House a few shops down from Tanās spa business. She had been looking forward to having a relaxing night out with her husband, Mario Gonzalez, whom she married only last year, and the couple had reportedly never been to Youngās Asian Massage before. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, family members say that Mario Gonzalez, who survived the shooting, is ātaking [the situation] hard.ā Delaina Ashley Yaun Gonzalezās friends and family have set up a GoFundMe to address her funeral costs.
Paul Andre Michels, 54
Michels, 54, was a handyman at Youngās Asian Massage and the owner of an electric company. He was only recently hired for the role and excited to take it on after looking for more work during the pandemic, according to a friend who spoke with CBS46. An army veteran originally from Detroit, Michels is one of nine siblings and is survived by his wife of more than two decades. In an interview with the Guardian, his brother John Michels emphasized his kindness. āHe was just a regular guy, very good-hearted, very soft-natured,ā he said, while noting that Michels had expressed an interest in getting involved in the massage business.
Yong Ae Yue, 63
A licensed massage therapist, she was laid off at the start of the pandemic last year and was excited to finally start shifts at the spa again, her son Elliott Peterson, 42, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Friday morning. Yueās youngest child, Robert Peterson, 38, agreed, recalling their mother as a kind and deeply caring woman. If you stopped by her house, sheād sit you down, ask if youād eaten, and then insist on a trip to H Mart grocery store so she could make a meal.
Daoyou Feng, 44
Daoyou Feng, 44, began working at Youngās Asian Massage in recent months, according to Tanās friend Hynson. She was kind and quiet, he said. Her relatives could not be reached for comment.
Soon Chung Park, 74
Soon Chung Park, 74, was also a worker at an Atlanta spa. Her family didnāt respond when reached for comment. Park previously lived in New York, where she has relatives, her son-in-law, Scott Lee, told the New York Times. āShe got along with her family so well,ā Lee told the newspaper.
Suncha Kim, 69
Suncha Kim, 69, worked at one of the spas in Atlanta. Her family could not be reached for comment. Kim, a grandmother, was married for more than 50 years, a family member told the Times. She enjoyed line dancing and worked hard, the relative said.
Elcias Hernandez-Ortiz, 30
Hernandez-Ortiz, 30, was the only survivor of the victims who were shot on Tuesday, and he remains hospitalized for multiple gunshot wounds in his āforehead, throat, lungs and stomach,ā according to the Washington Post. He was shot while standing outside in the shopping center where Youngās Asian Massage is located. āHe came from nothing and has come a long way; that is why I have faith he will survive this,ā his wife Flor Gonzalez told the Washington Post. Gonzalez has also set up a GoFundMe to help with the costs of Hernandez-Ortizās medical care.

Hereās some more winx club drawings Iāve done over the holidays :DD idk why I have been obsessed with winx club recently lol
Iāve also drawn musa in another post :)))
**PLEASE read, trans woman needs help escaping domestic violence**
Hi, Iām Miriam. Iām a 22 year old trans woman and Iām in desperate need of help.
I am stuck in a physically abusive relationship. I was cut off by my family long ago for being a gay man, as thatās how I used to identify. My partner has effectively isolated me over the last 2 years of our relationship and I no longer have any close friendships IRL, and Iām not out to most people. My partner knows I am trans, but Iām being exclusively misgendered and deadnamed by him, as well as being generally demeaned and ridiculed for being trans on a near-daily basis.
The abuse has been escalating since quarantine started and even more so since I came out. Iām starting to fear for my life, even though I know that sounds a little dramatic. On my blog, I have pinned a post with proof of physical injuries, in case anyone would like to be sure.
All of this has been super debilitating to my mental and physical health to the point where I have become suicidal and I canāt sleep at night anymore out of fear and anxiety. Iām constantly on the verge of tears. The stress Iām under is causing my hair to fall out, which is causing me a ton of dysphoria. I have no college education and no savings whatsoever and I suffered a massive loss of income due to corona. I feel extremely helpless right now.
I hate to do this. Iām afraid to do this. Iām scared of posting this because Iām terrified of my partner finding it and recognizing me. But I donāt know what else to do anymore.
Iām trying to save up money so I can get out of here as soon and as safely as possible. Hereās what Iām aiming for:
Secure a safe place to live (deposit, first + last monthās rent)
Transport / preferably getting my car fixed or get a new one, whateverās cheapest
Possible therapy/counseling to help me exit this relationship and/or deal with the aftermath
Pay for several ER/medical bills that have been piling up
Preferably start transitioning somewhere down the line, but this is lower on my list of priorities as I need to tend to my physical safety first :(
Iām honestly reaching my breaking point here. All I can do is humbly ask for donations. Anything would help, even just a dollar here and there. I NEED to start getting out of this situation.
tldr; Iām a young trans woman trapped in a severely abusive relationship with no resources and no means of getting out.
If you can donate, please donate to this pool I set up with a friend, as I canāt risk my deadname getting out and effectively doxxing myself.
You can do so anonymously and without having a Paypal account!
Hi, Iām Miriam and Iām a trans woman trying to safely remove myself from a physically abusive relationship. I would appreciate anything anyo
If you canāt, please reblog. I know these are rough times for a lot of people, so Iām not demanding anything. Every reblog has the potential to help. Thank you so much. ā¤ļø

ways to help protestors if you are unable to protest
everybody has to do their part. as a reference, this was posted on 1 june 2020. if any links are broken or direct to a place they should not, please feel free to add on with corrections. if there is new information with better knowledge, please feel free to share. thank you.
1. donate
do not donate to shaun king. he has repeatedly collected money to āsupportā black people, but no one knows where the money is.
BAIL FUNDS (ALPHABETICAL ORDER; NOT A COMPREHENSIVE LIST)
note: washington dc and new jersey have cashless bail systems.
bail fund google doc (also includes lawyers for protestors)
national bail fund network (directory of community bail funds)
community bail funds masterpost by @keplercryptids
resistance funds (google sheets; lists bail funds around the country)
nationwide bail funds (split a donation to the bail funds listed on the linked page with a single transaction)
atlanta bail fund
brooklyn bail fund
colorado freedom fund
columbus freedom fund
houston chapter of black lives matter
liberty fund (nyc based; focuses services on people from low-income communities)
los angeles freedom fund
louisville community fund
massachusetts bail fund
minnesota freedom fund (as of may 30, 2020, they are encouraging people to donate elsewhere since they have raised enough money; as of may 29, 2020, they do not have a venmo, as some fraudulent accounts have been claiming, source)
philadelphia bail out fund
richmond bail fund
MORE PLACES TO DONATE
note: more links are listed in the masterposts below.
northstar health collective (healthcare and medical aid for people on the front lines)
reclaim the block (aims to redistribute police funding to help the minneapolis community)
twin cities dsa (provides fresh groceries and hot meals to people in minneapolis)
2. educate yourself
it isnāt enough to sign petitions and reblog/retweet/etc. nonblack people, includingĀ people of color,Ā owe it to black people to educate themselves and correct themselves and the people around them on anti-blackness.
note: more links are in the masterposts linked below.
resources and tools regarding racism and anti-blackness (google sheets compilation)
readings on society, racism, the prison system, etc. (twitter thread)
āwhere do we go after ferguson?ā by michael eric dyson
official black lives matter website
3. give out supplies to protestors
people need supplies to protest safely, and even if they bring supplies with them, they can often run out. if youāre able, stock up and hand them out to people protesting. for more supplies to donate, see the āgeorge floyd actionā google docs link in section 5.
water bottles (dehydration and heatstroke are not things people should have to deal with alongside bastard cops. if the police in your area are particularly violent or known to use tear gas, get the ones with the sports cap/suction-thing/etc so people can use them as emergency eye-flushes.)
snacks (make sure to take into account that people have allergies of all sorts. foods will have a little label that says āmay containā and then list any potential allergens. write the allergens on the ziploc (or any container you use) in permanent marker, or better yet, write the snacks included in the pack.)
masks (donāt forget thereās still a pandemic going on. also it will aid in deterring facial recognition when the police try to track down protestors, Ā also part two, if the cops use tear gas, wearing a mask (with the combination of a scarf or bandana) will lessen the adverse effects. lessen, not stop.)
bandanas, scarves, etc. and goggles (ski goggles, swimming goggles, etc.) (see above for explanation on the scarves. same goes for the goggles. antiātear gas and antiāfacial recognition.)
clean shirts (for people who are heavily gassed. also helps deter recognition through clothing.)
wound care supplies (band-aids, packets of neosporin packets or a similar antibiotic, alcohol wipes, etc.; if you can, decant bactine into those little travel bottles.)
a sharpie or another type of marker (for writing bail numbers or emergency contacts on arms, hands, etc. itās not enough to have your cityās bail fund number stored on your phone; the police wonāt give it to you to look it up. give people a marker so they can write it down, preferably not washable so it isnāt easily removed.)
IMPORTANT: KNOWING FIRST AID
tear gas: if youāre hit, get out as fast and as soon as you can. take anyone you can with you. the longer youāre in the gas, the harder it will be for you to see, and it can irritate your airways, making it hard to breathe. if youāre hit, donāt run; itāll only make things worse on your lungs. when you leave the area, take a cold shower. donāt use hot water (it will only reactivate the agent); donāt bathe (it will only spread the CS around). (source 1) (source 2) (cdc fact sheet on tear gas)
move them to a clean and ventilated area where itās as safe as possible.
ask them if theyāre wearing contact lenses. have them remove it. if theyāre wearing glasses, rinse it with water.
solution of half liquid antacid, half water. spray from the inside going out, with the head tilted back and slightly towards the side being rinsed. if they say itās okay, open the eye slightly while doing this. (source)
bullet wounds: the most important thing is to stop the bleeding. be sure to check for an exit wound and cover that as well. treat both wounds, but treat the worse one first.
stop the bleed (youtube video by uc san diego health)
first aid in active shooting scenarios
making a tourniquet (a commercial tourniquet is best, but improvised ones can work as well if done properly; the most important things to remember is that tourniquets are for limb injuries and are not meant for the head or torso and that they have to be very tightly wound on the injury.)
how to apply pressure dressings
miscellaneous
adult cpr tutorial (youtube video by cincinnati childrenās; think of āstaying aliveā by the beegees or āuptown funkā)
4. be a source of information
be responsible with this. peopleās lives are at stake. that being said, the media is a fucking joke and the best way to get accurate information in a grassroots rebellion is amongst ourselves. record everything, but if you are going to share any information at all, be sure to blur peopleās faces.
signal (encrypted messenger app; messages delete after x amount of time): app store | google play

NUMBERS TO CALL FOR ARRESTED PROTESTORS (ALPHABETICAL ORDER; SOURCES LINKED TO THE NUMBER)
remember to keep phones OFF unless absolutely necessary. cell phone towers, stingrays, location notifs can all be used to track you and other protestors. donāt fuck around. if your phone must be on, keep it on airplane mode as often as possible and only communicate using encrypted methods. no, snapchat doesnāt count. (a twitter thread on stingrays, for those interested)

how can i help? by @abbiheartstaylor
how to make a signal-blocking cell phone pouch

twitter thread for protestors (by vantaemuseum on twitter)
also, if youāre protesting, change your passcode. make it at least 11 characters long and donāt use facial/thumb recognition.
edit 1: the minnesota freedom fund is notĀ black-owned. please donate to the black visions collective instead.
edit 2: what to do if you bring your phone to a protest. steps to encrypt your data.Ā / and a second source too.

I want all nonblack people to watch this video, especially white people.
This is the bestĀ video IMO that displays the depth of what it feels like to be Black in the midst of white supremacy.
This is the rage that burns in so many Black people and eats at us when it is not sufficiently soothed by our self restraint and years of learning to cope with and sit with us. This is the pain that shortens Black peopleās very lives, that we smother each day. This is the justified yet unjustly ignored anger we have learned to hold and to aim and to deal with without breaking (too much).
This is the fire that those of you who are just showing up on the scene are learning to sit beside.
When you ask usĀ āhow weāre doingā, understand that thisĀ is the real core of it, every single day, and we have had to learn to laugh, to sing, to dance, to work, to grieve, to heal around heavy, heavyĀ pain. I donāt get the feeling that yāall are expecting nor could you handle if we answered you like this. But I do feel like you should already know how weāre doing: weāre Black.
So yāall, sit with this video for a hot minute.
Kimberly Jones, you are a warrior. I feel every moment of this, every diaphragm flex, every tenuously tempered shout. And I hope that you are taking a break, and experiencing a moment of peace, because you deserve it.
When she asks if you want to go home but homeās right here
