Anyway I think if there's a user on the internet you just can't stand the sight of but you feel "morally obligated" not to block them for some reason, you just have to do it. Rip the bandaid off.

You have to work on whatever issue is causing you to think like this, but seriously, nobody benefits from you quietly seething about some stranger online and it's a very real possibility that you're going to end up causing harm if you don't curate your feed in a situation like this.

Almost everyone online would rather be blocked than belligerently stalked.

Reframe the block from some kind of attack on the person you're blocking, to a simple choice to enforce non-interaction that can actually be beneficial to both people involved.

Nah this is a general observation about social media usage based on multiple instances where someone's ridiculous crashout at a stranger online could've been a simple block and move on.
