Adventure of Link - roughly shaded sketch

I found a picture of Link, drawn back when I was playing AoL, on my old hard drive, and then I drew some characters behind him. I'm not sure if I'll color this picture or not.

More NES Zelda for the 40th Anniversary! This is one of my favorite artworks for The Legend of Zelda that I've completed; it came together well I think! It was also my first experience using Krita instead of Sketchbook, and is why I'm currently illustrating my Assembly of Animals book in Krita. (I still use Sketchbook a lot though both are great ^u^)

I had some fun placing a handful of references into this scene alongside Link and Zelda from Zelda 1. (The true og Zelda ship haha) >u< Link got to wear a proto-royal guard uniform as a treat because the blue and red reminded me of his tunic colors in-game! (also blatant reference to modern LoZ is blatant =D). Let me know what y'all think!

Fat Horse No. 22

It’s the year of the horse and I’ve always been a horse girl at heart, so I’m finally taking advantage of the excuse to fill the world with fat little horses! These felted friends are about the size (and shape!) of an apple, and if you happen to have any apples to share I’m sure they’d help you out! I initially thought of this one as Epona, but wasn’t sure I got her quite the right color. Most of her appearances have been more reddish overall, but several people did recognize her so I guess the spirit is there! She’s taking a break from running all over Hyrule for you.

Ce bon vieux Ganondorf de Wind Waker... j'espère pour lui qu'il est vraiment mort et/ou scellé, et pas conscient du tout de sa situation, car je ne pense pas qu'il apprécierait de servir de support à un récif ^^;

Ce dessin m'a un peu échappé... format A4, plus de 5h de travail, crayons de couleurs et feutres aquarellables. Heureusement que je suis en vacances...

Good old Ganondorf from Wind Waker… I hope for his sake that he's really dead and/or sealed, and completely unaware of his situation, because I don't think he'd appreciate being used as a support for a reef ^^;

This drawing kind of escaped me… A4 format, over 5 hours of work, colored pencils and watercolor markers. Good thing I'm on vacation…

Oh, et voilà le lineart si certains veulent faire du coloriage XD (je vous autorise à colorier tous les linearts fait dans le cadre de ce linktober, si ça intéresse quelqu'un, taguez moi si vous le faites ! )

We’ve all heard about the importance of leaving a comment on the stories that we read. How important they are to the writers, how discouraging it can be to not receive any, or few, or, hell forbid, get an AI word vomit. There’s a lot of templates circulating on social media about how to leave a proper comment, as well as advice, tips, and instructions, but sometimes I feel we forget how fun it can be.

Stories posted to AO3 are oftentimes shared with the intention of reaching out toothers. To build a community, to have someone acknowledge the time and effort spent in writing a fic.

A comment is that, but it is also a bridge between reader and author. It is a shared space where we, as the reader, can connect with the author, with the story. The emotions and thoughts that the work provoked are held and preserved in that comment box, sometimes relived like you’re reading the story for the first time.

Have you ever read a fic that made you laugh out loud? That kept you up until dawn, hitting that Next Chapter button like your life depended on it?

Have you ever had a story affect you so deeply that you don’t know what to do with your emotions? That rearranged your brain chemistry one kink at a time?

Sitting down and pouring all of these emotions into a comment can be so liberating, so freeing. If it made you feel mushy and happy, commenting can stretch out the happiness. If the fic destroyed you emotionally, commenting can be part of the winding down, commenting can help put you back together afterward.

And there’s so many ways to write a comment.

A comment can be an incoherent keysmash because you don’t have any other way of articulating yourself. It can be a simple “Thanks for commenting!”. It can be a series of hearts, of emojis.

Writing a long comment lets you enjoy the story in a different way. You remember your favorite moments, the perfect dialogues; you share the love, the hurt, the joy, with the author, and with the world.

And sometimes commenting is not that deep, sometimes it’s just the quiet joy of knowing you’re making an author’s day, or giving a lonely fic a little love. It’s that second kudos you really wanted to leave. It’s that satisfaction at the end of a good read.

In this increasingly desolate online landscape, it’s a small sign that we’re still here.

Advertised with the promise of cozy adventure and lots of cooking drew me in, and while there isn't much of either yet, the amount that there is is a good promise for the future. Still very early on so really only the precursor for the adventure is done, but the atmosphere is super fun and the characters varied and entertaining! Also with an original magical creature involved, there's hints at a lot of possible worldbuilding unique to this legend. - Sparks
