Nellas and Beleg just love Túrin so much and i want to BREAK THINGS

so you know that cursed sword that slowly drives whoever wields it mad & causes mysterious illnesses? you guessed it: scabbard was absolutely loaded with black mold

So we all know Beleg chose the sword Anglachel, right? The evil all black one. But what I realized is that the Silm also mentions Beleg’s great bow Belthronding, which was made of “black yew-wood”. So both of Beleg’s weapons are specifically described as being black. Isn’t that interesting? All I’m saying is that we usually draw Beleg as looking like Legolas from the movies but maybe we need to start drawing him as goth.

Beleg means receipt in german and I still think about that sometimes.

Beleg is a lovable guy. Just fine. I can picture him in those red boots of his, and a smile so big, we see he has diastema on front teeth, which appears to make his face even more lovable and joyful. A face that you can guess has been kissed many times, loved by countless people and has cherished all joy in his world. Oh, he’s got dimples too. He’s dressed in green clothes, and being an hunter, he wears animal furs he personally killed, and has woven feathers into his silver hair. He’s got a braid that touches his cheek, that has a strand of black hair intertwined into it, that’s not a hunting trophy, it’s one of love. He wears bangs he cuts himself askew in a way so iconic, that nobody would pull it the same way as him. His movements remind people of a lynx, and it is rare that his footsteps are heard before he arrives. He looks wild and free, like if he was brought into existence by the forest itself.
