i don't think i will ever get over the gelphie i love you's. every time i watch that scene i think whoa elphaba looks at her and in their last moments she sees glinda sobbing afraid and she puts her in a closet to keep her safe and says everything's gonna be fine. i love you. and somehow it's like she's marveling at it herself and it's a promise and it's the last thing she can say to her and they should have more time together but they don't and so she uses their last moments together to say that. and glinda has to close her eyes because it hurts so much to hear, she's wanted to hear it so badly for oz knows how long and it's the ultimate promise that she can be good because elphaba loves her, so there must be good in her. but before it settles she has to say it back and so she does. she does. she can barely speak but she forces herself to so that elphaba can hear it. because they love each other. for good.

I just don’t know what to do anymore they are everything and more

normally i'm a proponent of letting sad endings keep their weight but it's a little heartwarming that with each adaptation of itself Wicked becomes less and less able to bear what it's sentenced its own characters to and leaves more and more room to rectify the ending. like it loves them too much

All I feel is pain.
