Or the first time Jason sees Saturday.
Jason kind of wants to scream. Maybe cry. Maybe both.
All is well. Things are smooth. He should have known. Things are going too well in his crime lord business. His tenants are having their usual maintenence issues. B is off world. Jason only had to worry about the birds right now.
For once, hes minding his business. Doing nightly patrol. There's a 24/7 grocery on the corner now. It's protected by his men. He turns in the straight and its - chaos.
Solomon Grundy, in the flesh, is stuck in the doorway.
Jason swallows down the heart attack threatening him, kicks the stand to his bike, and strides right up to the giant zombie. His men around dont know what to do and he waves them away.
"So Sol." Jason prays for casual. The zombie grunts and actually looks... sheepish..?
"Need food." The zombie says as Jason looks around the door to see the damage. Grundy's shoulders are the only thing keeping it from collapsing further. The people inside had some common sense to get scarce to the back.
"Uh huh.." Jason says as he takes out his phone. Everyone's got to eat, he supposes. He's just never seen Grundy do it. Before Jason could even make a call his phone is assaulted with an abundance of texts and ringing.
"Hey- listen. Waylon said Grundy was going topside-"
"Yeah.." Jason groans the same time Grundy decides to take a step back. It causes the entire vestibule to collapse.
"Youre a bit late on that, buddy."
"Well I tried to call you and you just picked up-"
Grundy stomps right over to Jason and looms.
"What you looking for big guy?" Jason asks. Grundy seems subdued. Jason can try to be civil for now and hope for the best.
"Food." Grundy nods, shoves his hand i to his pocket, and then drops the cash into Jason's hand.
2 hours later, Jason finds himself in the sewers, sitting on a table, beer in hand and watching Grundy spoon feed his 'kid'.
"So- he doesn't eat... People right..?" He has to ask.
Waylon shruggs from the couch. "So far all hes done is groan and sleep."
Said 'zombie' groans again, loudly. He misses the spoon of oatmeal Grundy is feeding him. He leans in too far and ends up slamming his mouth on the meat of Grundy's thumb.
Grundy sighs, as if this crap has happened before. "No," he says and literally palms the teens head away from him.
The teen stares at Grundy in pure judgement. Which is impressive seeing as though the kid is lacking a good portion of it. Its all in the eyes and the exposed muscle of his eyebrows.
The kid tries to bite Grundy's hand again.
"If he does turn out to be a man eater we'll keep him underground..?" Waylon tries.
Jason blinks under his masks, takes a long sip of beer. He doesn't want to think of a fun sized Grundy being a man eater. He refuses. It doesnt exist.
"Sure. Why not." He says as he texts Roy the absolute tom foolery that might happen based on this situation.
